Q: Will this work with a fly default helmet?

It should. However depending on how fast you plan on going I recommend having a lanyard on it attached or looped through the helmet straps. Mine came off at about 100mph.

Q: Will this work if I'm wearing my Leatt neck brace?

It doesn’t allow the helmet to move freely downwards. The gripper strikes against the neck brace. I don’t recommend to use it with the neck brace. If you use it without the the brace is perfect!!

Q: Has anyone mounted this to a closed face hemet like for autocross? If so, does it get bothersome?

Yes i use this mount on my helmet off-road and on . i ride with the mount and my go pro every time i ride. It is not annoying in any way its light and has super strong clamp springs so it never comes loose or jiggles . my helmet is a bell dual sport full face with visor and sheild super hi vis yellow. I hope this helps
