Our 7 year old daughter is excited about her new Bible. The views below are her Daddy's!Pros:* Excellent clear type on decent thickness bright white paper means a clear reading experience* British spelling KJV Bible text (without red letter) despite being printed for the American market; modern spellings of words like show and plaster (not shew and plaister)* Contrasting blue page numbers and chapter numbers for easy use* Useful information charts and maps on separate colour pages* Life in Bible Times, Did You Know?, Words to Remember (memory verses) insert blocks in the text* Index; Dictionary with limited Bible referencesCons:* Cover is fairly thin, may or not be hard wearing - remains to be seen; there's a 4 year guarantee on defective bindings though not covering normal wear and tear* I feel some of the "Let's Live It" sections scattered liberally throughout are rather American and may or may not be helpful or even Biblically sound - there's also a tendency in some places to assume that readers are already believers, which not every recipient will be. Some of the "facts" in the book introductions could also be controversial (within the apparent target evangelical market). We've pointed out to our daughter that all the extra bits are not part of the Bible and are therefore what people say rather than what God says.
