It appears to be doing its job
I use an airbrush, with a dedicated compressor, for painting various model cars and planes. On occasion, I've noticed some water in the air from the compressor. Since I paint with lacquers and enamels, aside from acrylics, the presence of water is not a good thing.I've only been using the filter for a short time now, but can see water accumulating on the walls of the bowl, so it is doing something. Not enough has accumulated to drain the bowl, so I can't report on the operation of the manual drain. I will report back, if there is a problem.

How the heck do you open it
Looks like a good product, but the instruction sheet is not helpful. I cannot figure out how to open the bowl at all, there is no "white tab" on the "front" -whichever way the front is- and there is a large round foam cylinder in the box next to it with no explanation as to what it is for. Is it a filter? or was it a cushion for packaging.I'll be able to install it, just not service it at all without clearer instructions. There is also a lower pin that seems to move on a spring, also with no clear instructions on how to drain it. Do I wiggle the pin, push it, pull it, undo the knurled knob?

Works extremely well, VERY easy to drain!
Installed this right after my compressor, WOW it catches a LOT of water - much more than my two Ingersoll Rand ones did - now I use all three throughout my system and have crispy dry air =)

Small but effective, with economy in mind.
Item serves well as a water separator. Be sure to allow the air to cool with at least 4 feet of iron pipe between the compressor and this filter. Would buy again.

all good
Fits well and a good size for smaller compressors
