Q: Does the regular sport fit under an airline seat if you lay it on it's back? this version does have dimensions that should fit if you do this.

I bought the largest one. No way could it fit under the seat on the airline. It if far too big.

Yes, I believe it is, it'll fit under the seat in front of you, by your feet. However, my small 5 lb dog was not comfortable. It was fine when wheeling it, she could sit up, but in the flat position for under the seat, she could only lay down and could turn around or change positions. I purchased "Sherpa bag on wheels" for my pets. We constantly fly Southwest from NJ to TX, the large Sherpa on wheels doesn't fit well under the Southwest seat, it may be fine on another airline, but the medium fits fine. My pets are 5 and 14 lbs. You may also want to consider the Bergen rolling bag. Hope this helped.
