This is a rare find. It is perfect for spring and fall. Unlike synthetic "fleece" blankets, this wool blanket breathes and lets body moisture out through the fibers. It keeps me warm when it's cold as well as radiating heat from my body when it gets too warm. What's not to like about that? I sleep iso much better under this blanket. Who knew? Goodbye synthetic fleece blankets forever! I love looking at the lush wool.The brown color compliments my decor and enhances the look of the natural fiber, so, no need for bedspread.If it were softer, it wouldn't be as versatile nor affordable. The only downside is its generous size. I use it on my double bed even though it almost touches the floor on the sides. I can think of worse problems to have.That I found a blanket with such comfort at an affordable price is remarkable. And it's ecologically sound as well. Unlike synthetic blankets, wool doesn't shed microplastics into the ocean, harming marine life. This is a winner and I am thinking of ordering another.Thank you Poyet Motte Antibes for a superior product.

Although a preponderance of reviews for this blanket are favorable, there is a diverse minority that might lend pause to a purchase. This would suggest either poor quality control or customers with peculiar expectations — or both. My blanket arrived appearing well made, relatively soft, lacking any odor, and of a weight well-suited to layering.I’ve found scant refuge from the cold under synthetic fiber blankets that can emit static shock if rubbed the wrong way. Cotton is fine for mild applications, but wool is best for serious warmth. Thing is, wool blankets are expensive.This reasonably priced blanket is made in France — not China — by a company long in the business. How it performs over time remains to be experienced. I applied it directly to my bed with discernibly good result, and will likely have it dry cleaned when the occasion dictates. I’m ready for winter.

After a fair bit of research, I purchased this blanket to replace my forty year old Kenwood blanket. It is beautifully made and keeps me cosy and warm. The only thing I am not sure about is its washability. The packaging indicates that it is machine washable, however the tag on the blanket itself indicates that it should be dry cleaned.
