A must read
Not only a very wise choice when it comes to self help book but also an easy read. Rory Vaden is my new leader on watch list and I can't wait to read Take The Stairs.Thank you Rory!

Makes you reflect
I enjoyed this book and it got me thinking, if you want to be a serious business owner you need to reflect and see the bigger picture. This book can help you do that. You still need to do the doing. It will help you prioritise what's important. Time well spent.

Good albeit perhaps obvious
Rory Vaden is clearly a great motivational speaker and salesperson; and I think the book reads to that effect. There are lots of motivational lines throughout the book, which quite often reinforces the same point. As someone who is already highly motivated, it feels a bit unneeded. There are also a lot of references to 'Take the stairs' - his first book, which sometimes makes you feel like you're missing out and almost feel like you need to put this book down to get up to speed with the other. In addition, there are constant plugs to Southwestern Consulting. That said, I think there are some valuable lessons in here, and although I think they are obvious, they really need reminding sometimes. It's actually quite refreshing to be reminded of things which are obvious. Business/life doesnt have to be complicated, and Rory sets out nicely some principles to focus on things that are Significant rather than the two dimensional Important and Urgent. Rory is absolutely right that most of us operate in the Urgent Important, when in fact we want to be operating in Non-Urgent but Important.Overall, I would recommend this as a skim read.

This is original and great work by Rory and worth a look at to ...
I was lucky enough to have had an early release copy of this book and have to say it is the most significant book on self/time management I have seen since Stephen Covey's 7 Habits. This is original and great work by Rory and worth a look at to challenge yourself on what and where you are spending your time to allow you to have more of it in the future.
