I purchased these in a size medium for my 5 year old. They are a tiny bit big on him; however, i consider it nothing more than "growing room."I am very impressed with the durability and color combination. Pads work well for my beginning bicycle riding daughter. The elastic on the knee pads rubbed a little sore spot on the back of her knee but other than that they work well. Maybe use with pants or leggings and not on bare skin.

My six year old daughter has never been one to complain. She's never said clothes or shoes were uncomfortable. But these didn't fit her right and she was complaining that they were digging into her legs around knee area. Adjusted several times the tightness and it didn't help. I'll spend more money on more quality set next time.
