Yes I do believe they were, I had gotten some from a different seller and they were backwards and from china. They were replaced these were nice.

I'm sorry but I didn't read the paper/instructions that it came with. But, I can say that it has a very nice finish around the edges and is very pretty. My son liked it very much for his martial arts uniform.
