Looks awful.
I bought this as a present for a friend. It looks cheap. It feel cheap. The text on the cover looks as if it used to be really small and its been enlarged and gone pixelated. And the inside looks so old fashioned. Its pretty horrible. To be fair though, I haven't read it.

Great Homemade Spa Recipes
Having the time to visit beauty salons is out of the question for me so this book is exactly what I have been looking for. The recipes are easy to make and inexpensive. I've found a noticeable improvement in the dry texture and rough skin on my hands since I've been using the Simple and Creamy Milk Hand Soak. Definitely a great addition to my skin-care library!

NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY.
I would like to preface this review by stating that I rarely post reviews. That said, this book very much warrants a strong warning to those interested in basic spa treatment recipes! The book was neither edited nor reviewed prior to publishing. If it was, and the author reads this review, she should strongly consider never using the editor/publisher that she used for this book ever again. In fact, these individuals should strongly consider employment in another industry. I do not want to be rude, but I do intend to be honest and helpful.Editing issues:-Table of contents is worthless. Page numbers inconsistent throughout book. It is extremely short, therefore this should not be difficult. Some items in the TOC state "Error! Bookmark not defined." This obviously would not have occurred if someone had even looked at it prior to clicking "PRINT."-Punctuation, Grammar, and sentence structure issues, incomplete sentences, etc. These are more complicated issues, so I understand why they exist. I am tempted to offer to mark up the book and return to the author.Actual book comments:-Few recipes in this book-Some recipes are pointless (Foot Soak: Epsom Salt & Water.) Well no kidding! It even says this is a basic recipe, but it would have been beneficial for the author to include a list of optional ingredients to enhance the foot soak. The book is hardly 50 pages, so this feels like a filler recipe to add fluff to an already scant list of recipes.-No scientific or historical reasoning for ingredients. I appreciate that there is a safety warning on essential oils, because these can be dangerous, especially for pregnant women. That said, there should also be some small amount of research included to explain why the author has chosen certain essential oils for her recipes.-How to Give Yourself a Massage: go to a website. This is a page included in the table of contents, and is at the beginning of the book. Given that this is not a chapter, but a "bonus offer," this really should be put at the end of the book because it is a waste of time.-A good portion of this book is dedicated to the author's other books, and asking for positive reviews.-I just counted, and there are 20 recipes included in this book. Majority are extremely simple (see Foot Soak above.)All in all, I do apologize to the author that I have to say this book is a waste of time and money.

Save $$$ with this Guide, with gorgeous recipes, and know what you put on your body
After suffering allergic reactions to nearly everything on the market (what is in all this stuff?), I thought I'd give making my own a go, at least that way I can control the ingredients. I had no idea it could be so simple and easy and have such great results. And talk about saving money! You save ten times the price of one jar of something just by buying this book alone, and then you make lots of different treatments to suit your mood. I love the Lavendar Sugar Body Scrub, and especially the Soothing Cucumber Mask for my face as I live at the beach.
