A Captain's Performance
Book 3 in this enjoyable series sees Blake flying solo, as he gets involved in what is a pretty gruesome series of abductions. Connections to his recent past also come into play. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Another great read
Loving these books. Really solid storylines that keep you guessing and characters that jump off the page, what is there not to enjoy, other than the wait till the next instalment. Keep them coming guys.

An easy read with a decent plot and a respectable twist
Just like Unleashed (book 2 in the series ), this is not a complicated book. There aren’t as many clichés and it rolls along at a reasonable pace, it’s forgettable in places, it’s pretty well written, it’s just not complicated. But it’s a fun way to spend a few hours. The lack of supporting characters from the previous books instantly elevates above book 2 simply because there’s no terrible dialogue between the characters and no references to how they got their nicknames. With the exception of Haeli there’s very little reference to the first 2 novels so you don’t read them to understand this one. It would help although not essential. The principle character has already been fleshed out elsewhere so characters development is minimal. The supporting characters are well written although I found a couple of them really irritating. Won’t say who as that might influence your views, yet I’m sure you’ll work it out. And as mentioned, none of the supporting characters from previous novels and that made it easier to read. The villains are well written with a nice twist.Decent plot with a genuinely unexpected twist. I had part of it figured out about mid-way and was pleasantly surprised when the twist was revealed. Like all good thrillers there’s a couple of “is it him” moments as the tale takes you down a different path. Again, no spoilers. For the third book it was nice to take a break from the threads developed over the previous novels and it steps into the fourth book with a light touch. The use of real-life places helps. I look them up on Google maps and it helps to develop the picture in my head. Might not seem like much yet it genuinely makes a difference.Part of me really wants to dislike these novels, but I can’t. It’s an easy read, doesn’t take up too much brain power, and it’s quick filler. Star lost for some editing and spelling mistakes. All in, a fun novel if you’re after something easy.

I Wanted Different - This is Different
I mentioned that plots overlap in action thrillers. There's only a few stories and they've all been retold in many volumes. However this one is deeply different from the first two of the series, different but good. This is a whole other story from a whole other genre, that of crime thrillers.A well told story with neat twists and a satisfying conclusion.

Best of series so far
I absolutely loved this book and I was gutted when I finished it as it’s one of those books that you just want to go on and on! It is a bit of a deviation from the first two books but it so works! Lots of twists and the outcome had me gobsmacked as I really didn’t see it coming. Can’t wait for the next in this excellent series.
