I had a pair of nice brown shoes that i wanted to keep the color
I don't know how to review this for their is a possibility I used it wrong. I had a pair of nice brown shoes that i wanted to keep the color.. I bought three of their products. the Saphir Reno'Mat Cleaner which they recommend if you are moving over to their products.. that product worked fine.. removed all the old shoe wax.. then i applied the Saphir Renovateur and let dry which worked great and really nourished the shoes leather. then with my shoe tree in the shoe I followed their you-tube video to apply the Medaille.. I followed their directions apply a coat and let dry I did that three times as their recommendations.. and everything looked good the next day.. My shoes looked brand new I was happy until I put them on within the first few steps where my shoes creases from the foot bend white flakes started appearing all over the top of my shoe.. I had to brush it and the white was still visible.. anyway I don't know. .not happy that it didn't bend with the shoe instead it just flaked away..

Smudges easily
This creme polish takes a long time after applying it to be able to buff it with a brush. It takes as long as over-night for the haze and still feels tacky. If you ever got it into the welt seam, the build-up will have a hard time drying and as much as you brush it, it will bring that non-dry polish onto the leather surface and just smears all over the leather. Definitely not a polish to use if you are pressing for time expecting a quick shine. Weird, Saphir are well-known and reliable. Perhaps I got a bad batch.

If you purchase expensive shoes and boots, you want to use Saphir products on them .
The finest shoe cream in the world. My son just bought a brand-new pair of dress shoes (Allen Edmonds). This cream will be used to keep the shoes looking good for the next 20-20 years. How do I know? I have a pair of Allen Edmonds that I first bought in the mid-80's. By taking very good care of them and only using Saphir products, they have lasted. I've had the AE dress shoes re-crafted four times over the years.

Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier Cream (Light Brown Color) Preserves The Shoe Color.
I have several pairs of dress shoes ranging from walnut to cognac colors and have used the cheaper branded shoe cream or polish in the past; however, it seems to have darken the color of my shoes each time I use it. So, I was not to happy about that because I would like to keep the color the same as when I bought it new as much as possible. I know I could use the neutral color but sometimes you need the colored cream to recolor the scuffs on the uppers before you polish the shoes. The neutral will not fix this. This time, I decided to try Saphir Medaille d'Or Pommadier Cream (Light Brown) to use on my light colored dress shoes and they worked much better than the previous cheaper branded cream or polish. My shoes did not seem to get darker using this shoe cream polish (at least I haven't noticed it yet), and it seems to preserve the original color much better than the cheaper branded cream/polish.Since this Saphir worked so well, I will order other Saphir colors in black, dark brown, and cordovan to cover all my shoes.

High quality with visible difference from theme big box store brands
I have been hook,Ed on this brand since watching YouTube videos by The Hanger Project. I’m a police officer in the Houston area. This is a great polish that goes on easy and brings out a clean shine. I use this and two other waxes from same manufacturer to get a high gloss mirror shine on my work boots.

Creamy Goodness
As all the Saphir d'Or Pom Creams, this one is packed w/ creamy goodness.Be aware however, this particular shade tends to be more brownish orange than red,I think I would call this color "Orange Saddle".Is it worth $22? Maybe. If you're a shoe snob- yes.

Good but not worth the extra $$ unless you need a specific color.
It's nice. It smells better than Kiwi. But is it that much better than Kiwi, parade gloss? No.On the positive side Saphir comes in the exact color of blue I need for one pair of Derby's I own.I've been using Kiwi on a pair of shoes I bought in 1992 and they're still in great shape. The claim that Saphir is so much better for your leather is probably just hype.If cash is at all an issue I'd stick to Kiwi parade gloss. The price probably doesn't justify any increase in quality.

Ostrich Boots look Incredible now
Yes, it's expensive, but I wanted to give my Pecan\Peanut Brittle Ostrich boots a slightly darker apricot looking hue as they were a bit too light. This cognac color was perfect. The boots look incredible. Very satisfied, highly recommend Saphir Médaille d'Or Pommadier Cream.
