Very informative and advice works!
After reading/studying the recommendations in this book, I implemented the suggestions. Amazingly, my bone density remained stable for one year (without medication.)Last year I suffered a spontaneous femoral fracture due to bone density medication. Extremely painful and dangerous; along with surgery, and both inpatient and outpatient rehab.By implementing these suggestions, my bones have remained stable.Great book!!!

What this book taught me about magnesium
You know how we're always told to take calcium and magnesium for our bones? Here's something interesting: according to this author calcium needs magnesium for better absorption (of calcium)--however, calcium impedes absorption of magnesium to a large extent. Evidently, so many people who need more magnesium are deficient because they take them together. So now I take cal/mag in the daytime, and magnesium at night by itself--the kind the author suggests--and wow, my "bone aches" are subsiding, and I am sleeping sooooo much better at night, not to mention improvement of other bodily functions. This book is worth the read, and consideration, and trying out for yourself what works.

Fantastic reference!
This has become my go-to vitamin reference in my Bone Health program. It is easy to read and has a wealth of information. Highly recommended for everyone - but particularly for those trying to learn more about specific vitamin sources that are important in Bone Health.

Great new to me information
I have heard of osteoporosis before, but not osteopenia and all I pretty much knew is that it’s a bone loss disease that you get when you are older. This book really opened my eyes that the onset of the disease is so much sooner, and it can be stopped if we just get enough of certain minerals and vitamins. The author gives us a list of all the vitamins and minerals we should be eating and how much, but what I really found useful is that he gives us a chart of the vitamin or mineral in natural form, vs in supplement form which helps us understand which one is better, and how we should be reading the ingredient labels of our supplements. This book is not a “read once and done book”, I think that you will benefit greatly if you get it in print form, so you can refer back to it easier with post-it notes and all. I think that this is a great book to get as it has given me so much more clarity over something that we are all prone too and how we can avoid it

Very useful information with a comprehensive table for vitamin & mineral use.
Bryant Lusk brings an informative and comprehensive study in Osteoporosis and Osteopenia: Vitamin Therapy for Stronger Bones. He takes into account the ages and needs of each gender, knowing it differs according to the maturity of the user. He also stresses the balance needed to optimize the targeted vitamins and minerals used for stronger bones. He discusses popular beliefs and myths to address the problems with how vitamins and minerals should be taken. I found Osteoporosis and Osteopenia: Vitamin Therapy for Stronger Bones quite in depth. Bryant Lusk’s research into the importance of a quality vitamin and mineral was very helpful. What I found the most useful was how he divided up the different ages and needs, then when to take them throughout the days for optimal absorption. This is a most useful book, I believe it will be used now and years to come. I will keep this in my ebook library as it is one of the most instructional book I have found about stronger bones (that was understandable).

Osteoporosis and how to treat it.
Osteoporosis is a disease that causes the weakening of bone density which leaves one at risk. The author has done extensive research and went to great lengths to organize and present this pain staking research for us to educate ourselves. The information is written in an easy to follow manner and clearly shows the importance of knowing and treating this illness. Vitamin D is long thought to be a vital ingredient in bone density and this book confirms that information. The information shared in this book is informative and will help you understand how to treat this illness and explains why some of these diets will not help at all. Very well written with lots of useful details.

Super Book
The author presents a comprehensive picture of osteoporosis and osteopenia. He discusses the possible nutrient deficiencies and makes distinctions between the various molecular compositions of nutrients and their efficacy. He gives exact recommendations, and includes suggested suppliers for supplements. Because he presents the whole picture, or as close as one could get it, this is an outstanding book!

Very informative
So many of us looking for help. At the very least this book gave me hope. This is a healthy part of my healing (hope). In a sea of advice, this breaks things down so you know why you would be taking a supplement, and how much of it is recommended.
