Underrated Superfood + Considerable Plant Meat
Jackfruit is known to be packed with nutrients and antioxidants. Also, it goes well anywhere meat would go. With some effort, this could pass off as like brisket and people would be none the wiser. That said, jackfruit does not provide protein. Hope to be able to use this more anyhow.

Love it
Turns tacos, burrito s even pulled pork style into a delicious meal. Mixing I'm going to try is the Irish stew.

A Great Deal on a Great Product! Perfect for Ketogenic Dieters who Don't Want Any or a lot of Meat
So we're keeping Keto for my Epilepsy (prescribed) and other health issues in the family, and were getting pretty sick and tired of eating so much meat now that we were on the diet. Realized that jackfruit fit in, and started to fall in love with this brand thanks to a local vegan market in town. Well, that starts to get expensive, so I decided to check on Amazon. YES! What an amazing deal, and it all showed up at our door. Plus, there were flavors we couldn't find locally - not to mention the PLAIN ones! A little nervous when they came in as the variety pack was shipped in a sriracha box but it really was the variety. Love all the flavors. Love how they work as substitutes for so many things. If you are doing Keto, however, just note the BBQ one is higher in carbs so just moderate as you go.Also, of note for those whom follow: jackfruit is parve but I don't see any actual certification on these - especially not the flavors (though admittedly I have not checked the plain). Other brands of jackfruit we get do have Kosher certifications but not this one. We are not super strict since we are so out in the middle of the nowhere so we do still use this brand because it is just that good and fits in our budget so well - especially with this bulk variety pack on Amazon!

Didn’t like the taste
I’m trying to eat a healthier plant-based diet. I heard the founder’s story in a podcast and wanted to try. I purchased a mixed case of six. I’ve tried the barbecue and a second flavor and they are so bitter. I had to toss. I have the remaining packages in the back of my food pantry for SHTF.

Product and customer service was great
We ordered the original flavor jackfruit in box of ten for a gathering. We reached out because the color was not the same as what we have had in the past but Upton's responded quickly and said that organic and kosher. So we tried the recipe and it turned out great.

Old and gross
I have been buying g this product for years and love it. When I received this item and opened the bag, it was darker and dryer than it should be. Definitely tastes old. Will need to throw away.

Half of the boxes had a best by date within 3 to 4 weeks.
I purchased the variety pack of 10. I was disappointed that the best by date for 5 of them was in 3 to 4 weeks. The other 5 expired in more than 6 months. My only exposure to jackfruit previously had been the dried and heavily sugared snack style products. I have only had one of these so far - the sweet and smoky. It expired first so I tried it on the day the shipment arrived. The flavor was okay - similar to a bbq flavor, but the texture bothered me. It was actually a bit slimy. It might be good in mixtures with vegetables and beans where the texture can be hidden a bit, but then there really isn’t much reason to add it. It does add fiber and a few vitamins, but not much protein. I think the texture of mushrooms and eggplant, if prepared properly, is closer to meat. I’m not vegan, but I’m trying to limit consumption of animal based products to just one day a week. That might be the problem. Perhaps this would taste better if it had been a long time since I had eaten meat. I bought these mostly to have something in the pantry that I could just heat up and eat when I didn’t feel like cooking. I’ll revise the review as I try the other varieties. The main reason for 3 stars was the expiration date being less than one month for half of the boxes, but I doubt if I will purchase again.
