The Last Marine: Book Two (A Dystopian War Novel)

Great adventure, almost laying out where we are headed as a country. As an old veteran, it scares me. Read this with an open mind and think about where we are going. Scary to think like this. Very thought provoking.

A fair amount of twists and turns. A good ready and kinda spooky considering what is happening today. Waiting for book 3.

Not giving spoilers. Please read the first book! Same fast paced action and thoughtful moments as the first book. Very well written!

While I was not a Marine, I was an Infantryman from 1970-1972. The storyline was in keeping with the hubris of the many Marines I have known through the years. In view of recent history I find a terrifying realism in narrative. A very well thought out presented story. I can hardly wait for the next installment.

The story line thickens with action and drama. Many nuances toward the political climate of today.

This book paints a very dark future. A future where the Government capitalizes on crises (and even creates harmful crises) to achieve its own ends.Scheming and utterly heartless Politicians care only about their own interests and not the good of the country and its citizens.Journalists care about their careers or ideologies and not a bit about reporting the truth.People are easily deceived by their trusted news sources. And the young are manipulated by empty ideologies that are used by cynical power brokers for their own ends.In other words, it’s a fictional world very different from the one we live in today. Right?

Paints a vivid picture of where we could be headed, when you can't trust the legitimacy of the government or the news media.
