Bought as a gift and as expected.

A detailed bio of Paul Newman and his movies. I would have liked to have known more about his life before he got into the movies more. Great book if you are a fan of his movies and of him. Hila

While this author covered some of the main facts about Paul Newman (and Joanne Woodard), I did NOT appreciate how he always wrote mean, biased accounts about their personalities and life events. While there is no doubt Paul Newman was an extremely handsome (even Beautiful) man), and may have attracted some homosexual advances, there is NO evidence that Paul Newman returned those advances or was homosexual. I found this author's approach in this regard approaching libelous! He was also very mean spirited about Joan Woodard and constantly portraying her as mean and "bitchy!" His overall bias against both actors ruined the book for me!

His films were OK but this book is only good for sending you off to sleep if your an insomniac!
