Thinking in Systems: A Primer

If you think simply like I used to you could read this to expand your complex mind.The world is complex and to understand it better, we need to think in systems. This book explains systems thinking really well.

A very concise book which explains the concept of System thinking, a very fundamental and yet less utilized approach to problem solving. It gives a very detailed explanation of system parameters, behaviours, Traps and opportunities, areas where we can leverage and finally it gives us a real time wisdom in approaching problems with a system mind.Systems approach can be used to solve problems that are personal, organisation or even situations that can benefit a country or even the world. It is a must read for every individual who is looking for a different approach to a problem or a state of stagnation and should be included in curriculum for any postgraduate program.

Well, this book can get you started with systems thinking; about feedback loops etc. But I would say the examples were weak to prove the benefit of it. I do agree with the points raised like we are accustomed to thinking linearly and we fail to understand the loopy consequences but that's because I myself observed that in the day to day life. Moreover, it didn't explain much about what a system is in the detail I got from some other book. But in general, in the market, there aren't good books on the subject. It was worth the money, but my expectations were too high lol.

What a beautiful perspective it brings to complexity in the world around us. It humbled me and strengthened and deepened my insight to complexity and systems. Wonderful.

No matter what stage in your system thinking learning journey you are in, this book provides a wealth of knowledge. A must read for systems enthusiasts.

This book gave me an introduction to things we should all be taught again and again throughout life. It humbled me with knowledge and convinced me to stay curious for life. Must recommend for all.

Though the binding is fine, the font size is too small and compressed. The pages are thin and translucent making back side printing mix with the reading page text, further making reading difficult. If you are a 40+ person with weakening eye sight, you won't find reading this book in paperback format very comfortable.

1. The book shares valuable insights and tactics that are directly applicable.2. Easy read. Cites many historical incidents besides examples to make it more engaging.3. Includes food-for-thought questions (does poverty lead to population increase or vice-versa?) that requires the reader to further research.

The product was in perfect conditions and I like the edition of the book.

Aprofunde-se com este livro se já tiver estudado sobre sistemas.O pensamento sistêmico é um antídoto para alguns dos mais complexos e desafiadores problemas da humanidade. Deveria ser matéria obrigatória nas escolas e faculdades. Esse livro ensina os fundamentos, de forma sólida e direta.Uma pena ainda não ser traduzido para português.
