Save your hardware from thermal damage and improve network speeds (yes really)
I kept having issues with my Linksys WiFi router when using my phone outside. I would be connected to the WiFi but with "no internet" and a 6mbps connection. I'm not even far from the router, maybe 15-20 feet. It occurred to me that this only happens during the afternoon, never at night. I placed my hand on top of the router and the whole thing is hot to the touch. That can't be helping things I thought.I started to look for a "cooling laptop pad" with fans that I could set the router on, but everything is too big, overpriced, and very poor quality. They also ALL have LEDs that you can't turn off (The RGB fad needs to go the way of disco). Most of them break within weeks or months according to reviews. I was about to give up but eventually I came across items like this. I should have been searching for "router cooler" or "router fan".I put this under my router. I could also place it on top as an exhaust. Then again I could always buy another one for the top too, maybe even the smaller 80mm version. It elevates it some but I'm not worried about it falling off because the nice rubber feet provide a nice stable base. I plugged it into the USB storage port on the router and set it to medium speed. A few minutes later I felt the top of the router and it's about room temperature, as if it's not even turned on. Now when I go out back and sit in my chair I get between 40-100mbps instead of 6mbps (with a ! for no internet). 40mbps might not sound fast, but it's infinitely faster than "no internet".Years ago I had a Netgear dual band router that I was trying out. It worked great until I had the brilliant idea of stacking it on top of the ISPs router/gateway/modem to save space. By the next day when I noticed how hot it was, the 5GHz band was completely dead. This was now a single band 2GHz router.I've also used a TPLink router that has similar problems. Even though I avoided placing it on top of other hardware, and even elevated it more using some blocks of wood to increase airflow underneath, I still had flakey internet and very warm operating temperatures. Basically this is a problem with all routers, especially if you have alot of devices and use internet nonstop. It sounds crazy to say it but this small inexpensive upgrade will extend the life of your hardware, and potentially even improve network performance. Good routers are not cheap. You can spend your money on an extended warranty, but I think your money is better spent on this item to protect your investment. This features 8 rubber feet , 2 fan grills, and a 3 speed + off fan control switch all preinstalled. The fan is a double ball bearing fan according to the specs, so hopefully it will last longer than a cheap sleeve fan. The fan is 120mm, which is big enough to move air without running at very high RPMs which means it runs quietly. The only thing I have that is close to a complaint is more of a request. Make this a $5 kit that comes without the fan. Sell us the rubber feet, fan grills, and power cable with speed control that is compatible with 4 pin (PWM) and 3 pin fans (non PWM). Let the customer decide what fan to use it with. How cool would my router look with a nice tan and brown Noctua fan sitting on top or underneath (or both)? Very cool.

Perfection
I bought this fan to place on the top of a small fanless router to help cool it. It works perfectly, has two speeds, is quiet at both speeds, and fits perfectly on top (though that's not something the fan manufacturer controls).Brought down temps well too.

Nice for a light breeze. Not heavy duty.
Nice small fan, good for a light breeze. Plugs right into your computer and draws very little energy. a light cooling. or just to get some air circulating. Nice not to have to recharge batteries. It has none. So, it must be plugged in to work, but that is what I wanted. It would have been nice, though, if the company marked the inlet and outlet, because the breeze can be so light that it's not immediately obvious on power-up.

Silent USB fan
I use it to cool my JBL AVR that I recently bought. I hope it will help extend the life of the equipment. Speed is adjustable and quiet.

Very good purchase
Size: 120mm On its lowest setting, you'll forget it's even on. Has a decent amount of airflow.Note: different sizes = different amounts of airflow. The bigger, the more airflow. But with sound, it would appear that the bigger it is, the quieter it is, at least with this particular product. Bought an 80mm version of this too, and I could barely hear it on its lowest setting. A bit louder than the 120mm, but not by much. My computer fans are louder when they speed up, so it doesn't even matter.Having the right weight is important. Needs to be light enough, but also heavy enough so that a slight shifting of the wires, or the fan itself, doesn't move it around. In this regard, the 80mm and 120mm strikes that balance. That, and the little stubby grips help keep it stable. Don't buy these without the stubby feet unless you intend to screw it into place. As for the airflow stream itself, as expected from these types of fans, it's not the same as it would be for a "Bladeless" design. In my opinion, experience it for yourself, as I lack the words to properly describe such an experience. But if you're not sure where to start, this is an ok place to start. Not too big of an investment, you won't lose much money if this specific type of product isn't what you need, you could buy one of these amongst a different slew of other fans and figure out which works best for you.

Great for Roku Ultra
I've had my Roku Ultra for 3 1/2 years. A few weeks ago it would display it was getting too hot. It is located in my closet with other equipment. I bought this a few weeks ago and no more messages about being too hot. It is connected to my A/V receiver and only turns on when it does. The Ultra sits on top of the fan. A perfect fit. Seems to be very quiet and does the job.

Super Quiet
I use it as a desk fan. It's super quiet, but blows enough breeze to circulate the air in a cubicle.

Weak fan, nice bundle
The pieces that come attached to it (grill on each side, rubber feet’s for every corner ok both side, speed selector switch) is where the value is.If there’s nothing near the fan, then it can produce some airflow (likely less then you expect, but still useful). In terms of sound level, on HI, it does a little humming, but it's not annoying. On low, I have to pay attention to hear anything. on Medium it's pretty peaceful even just one foot away (using it right now on me as the temperature is quite warm today where I am).The fan itself has very low static pressure. If I put it flat on a table to blow air upward there won’t really be any airflow despite the feet’s keeping some space between the table and the fan.I would be tempted to replace the fan with something decent like a Noctua, but would require cutting wires and installing a connector. For the application I had in mind (putting it under my laptop that tends to over heat), it s unlikely to work, but I might get some success by using it to just move the air around the laptop.

Ventilador silencioso
Me gustó este ventilador por sus medidas cubre bien el área de un router casero ya no se calienta tanto lo mantiene fresco , tiene un interruptor con tres velocidades pero con la primera velocidad opera muy bien , necesita alimentación de 5V , y es silencioso .

Great for my off-label use
I have a glass cabinet with lots of plants in it, and air circulation is really important. These were the best fans I could find for the amount I wanted to spend. I have these plugged into the same timer power bar as my grow lights and they've been running 8-14 hours a day straight since I bought them and are still going strong. Creates good air flow, I can see the leaves moving (and dust cruising around, but that's a me problem not a fan problem). Plants are happy, I am happy!
