Wow! I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I just cannot stop playing this album. The more I listen the more I love it. After the recent Super Deluxe Sign O The Times I didn’t expect this to stand up, but it’s like a great book, just can’t stop listening.Same Page Different Book, Check The Record, Welcome 2 America, Born 2 Die, One Day We Will All B Free, 1000 Light Years From Here are excellent, but the whole album is. It flows beautifully and I haven’t even mentioned the irresistible Hot Summer, Stand Up & B Strong or Running Game.Not just are the songs and music good, they have meaning and pack a punch and are thought provoking.Very special album, wish I’d ordered on vinyl.

I bought the vinyl version of this album. In my opinion this is a great album, with a similar sound to Hit’n’Run Phase 2. Sexy riffs and catchy melodies, all laced with the words of wisdom by the man himself, and belting vocals from Shelby J. I’ve read some of the negative reviews on this album, but I honestly cannot pick a fault with it. After all, Tal Wilkenfeld provides bass all the way through, which is just another added bonus to the whole thing. And the vinyl gatefold cover is great too. Definitely a great addition to my collection.

This album has devoured my time, Im loving it more and more, definitely just as great as his other latter day classics '3121' 'Art Official Age' 'Hit N Run Phase Two' in my opinion, Also in a weird way, its 'demo' like quality adds too its charm, and gives it a life of its own, unlike anything else in his latter day music, really makes it stand out within his catalogue,......its just a bloody shame about the audio clicking noises on 'Stand Up And B Strong')....but I'd rather the issue is on that song than '1000 Light Years From Here' 'Rin Tin Tin' and 'One Day We Will All Be Free'....all of which I adore ♥️ and are worth buying the album for,...the rest of the music is great also however ;)

This package is Amazing. I 've been a huge Prince Fan Since his first album, "For You"and I purchased the previous Deluxe versions. This to date is the best one.The CD is the best music released from the Bolt so far.Everything arrived in perfect condition. Watched the Blu-Ray this morning, what a great Concert. I am blessed to have seen Prince in concert three times and this Show is as good as they were. I look forward to the Release of future Deluxe releases. Amazon never dissappoints!! 5 Huge Stars.

This was an album that should have been out years ago it was made well before it's time can't believe he actually shelved it but what you're gonna do ?not everybody likes it and a few people that like prince i know do not like this album I think it's a very well put together album and It's quite enjoyable

What more can you say. Brilliant. So missed.

The first thing to bear in mind is that Prince himself did not feel that this was a strong enough offering to be released, when it was recorded back in 2011.Upon listening to the album, it is merely average. My personal favourites are Born 2 Die and Check The Record. The rest of the album is fairly forgettable. As a fan it is nice to get some new material rather than the recent expanded releases (Purple Rain, 1999, Sign Of The Times), but it doesn't scale any new heights.

One of his best work. It's giving a great pop-funk sound similar to his 80s hits with a more vurrent vibe.

To be 100% transparent...I mainly bought this for the 2011 concert Blu-ray (since the estate has opted not to sell it separately) I sadly never had the chance to see him live, but this will get you as close to the real deal as can be. The show sounds stellar in Dolby Atmos, and even though mastered in 1080p instead of 4k, the picture excels when there is proper lighting. (Dark scenes do appear pixelated, though that's a shortcoming of the cameras used and not the disc)The album itself is some great experimentation from Prince, don't go in expecting the typical sound of his hit singles...but if you're a Prince fan, you'll enjoy it ! Other than the double LP, CD, AND digital download code...this set includes a bunch of fun little extras : a 12x12" photobook, replica setlist, VIP access pass, ticket...there may be a kitchen sink hidden in there somewhere...Overall, i'd call this a great value for yourself or the Prince fan in your life.
