Segerberg and the Logic of Action
Krister Segerberg’s Logic in ActionSpringer, New York, Heidelberg, BerlinJoseph J Grenier MD PhD MSc MPHThis is a collection of chapters discussing Segerberg’s Action Philosophy. The various operators, variables, and nomenclature of basic logic is discussed first, followed by a discussion of real integers R. Deontic and modal logic are given several chapters in the middle. The applications to psychology, epistemology, and variable linear algebras are discussed in a unified manner. This is a difficult read without the help of previous knowledge by Godel, Alan Turing, and authors of dynamic and nondynamic symbolism. This book is best read along with several other logic references in hand, notably Wittgenstein’s Tractatus and some other references of Quine. This book in summary is groundbreaking for its thoroughness and grip of the concepts in theory of Mind.
