Size Name:100 sqm Leatherjackets are the larval stage of the crane fly or daddy long legs. Control leatherjackets naturally by treating with Nemasys Leatherjacket Killer. September / October is the best time to treat as this is when the leatherjackets are the most susceptible to the nematodes, the soil is warm (needs a daytime soil temperature of 10c) and they are close to the surface. YOU CAN TREAT AT OTHER TIMES OF THE YEAR i.e. now BUT YOU MUST APPLY AT DOUBLE STRENGTH. Each packs treats 100 sqm (same pack treats 50 sqm when applying at double strength). Crane flies or daddy long legs lay their eggs in the same area of lawn from which they emerge, so numbers increase rapidly. These eggs hatch in late summer and the larvae immediately start to feed on the grass roots. The leatherjackets will feed though the autumn, before overwintering. They emerge the following spring and gorge on grass roots before pupating to emerge as adults in August - the whole cycle is then repeated. Birds, particularly starlings, will pull at the lawn in search of the leatherjackets to eat and are a sure indication of a leatherjacket infestation. Leatherjackets are 2.5cm / 1" long, greyish black in colour, legless and with no distinct head. Simply mix the nematodes with water and apply with watering can or EasyNem Applicator (see B07HF67Q9M). Nemasys Leatherjacket Killer is a perishable product, so once you receive it, it will keep for up to 2 weeks in the FRIDGE and you must use before the expiry date. PLEASE DON'T BUY UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO APPLY. Each pack treat 100 sqm in Sept / Oct or 50 sqm at any other time of year (it can be applied throughout the year but is best applied at double strength).

Received promptly
Received promptly. Our lawn has been absolutely decimated by leather jackets so we hope this will work. Have followed all instructions but as organic and not chemical it is going to take a while before we know for sure how effective or otherwise this product is. All other feedback is positive so we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Perhaps its me but this product didn't do much
We used this as directed, right temperature, made sure it was going to rain after application, correct dose and yet it hasn't made much difference to the leather jacket population. Disapointed

Works brilliant.
Great product, looks to have worked well, can be a bit fiddly putting them into a hose end feeder but well worth the money as my lawn was seriously bare but now after reseeding looks incredible. Will be doing this 1 or 2 times a year now.

Leather jackets (daddy long legs grubs) eradicated
12 months on since application at the end of September, as per instructions, and this year appears to have solved what was a major problem in my lawn last year.
