FigBrewMellow Mix Roasted Fig & Coffee Blend - Refill

I didn't like the flavor of this at all. I'd rather drink hot water with a little added flavor of my choice.

This product does not taste like coffee. It’s approximately $2.50 an ounce versus Folgers at $0.33 an ounce. Too expensive!!

The product that was shipped to me was roasted over one year ago. For a fresh product with coffee was cery disappointed. Tasted stale and did not use and no returns. Beware

For a coffee substitute, it's surprisingly good.

The media could not be loaded.  I wanted to try a fig-based coffee, and this one is an ok beverage. I reground it finer for espresso, and made it normally. (It did not clog up my grinder or my espresso machine.). It makes a decent crema layer, so it is fresh. The aroma is mild and pleasant. It’s around a 6 strength out of 10. The flavor is well balanced, maybe a little narrow. There is a light pleasant sourness or sweetness. It would be nice with some sugar or milk. All that adds up to “ok”. I dont taste any flavors that remind me of figs, other than the slight sweetness. It’s not sweeter than many whole beans i have had. I guess if you are looking for a lower-caffeine coffee, or you want the added figs for their nutrition, this is fine. But i didnt taste any flavor-reason why i would add this fig & coffee blend to my daily routine.

I was sent the wrong item, it was supposed to be the bag refill but it was the can instead. Same item inside but I thought to be transparent I'd mention it.As for figs I love them as do I love coffee. I thought this would be a good drink to try and I was right. It's very interesting. Definitely tastes like coffee but with an interesting dried fruit addition. I always try a new coffee black because the best coffees need nothing added. This Figbrew needed milk. It made a good cup of coffee but nothing special. Definitely worth trying though. Good ingredients.
