Giro Isode Bike Helmet

I have a larger than average head for a woman and it fits perfectly with the adjustable strap on the back of the helmet. Also, comfortably fits my pony tail.Additionally, I fell directly on my head while wearing the helmet and I can say it definitely works... haha

I decided to upgrade my Schwinn helmet for this one due to age. I see many cyclist wear this brand when cycling which lead me to purchase this. I’ve worn it for 5 hours consecutive during a charity ride and didn’t find it uncomfortable. I like how you can customize the tightness around your head to fit perfectly. I would say the only minor complaint is the chin strap is that carries from the backside of the helmet often gets twisted, so prior to cycling I always have to readjust. Not a big deal, but just something I never had to do with the Schlimm helmet. The helmet weight was only 0.1 ounce lighter with the Giro. I have not crashed wearing this helmet (hope nobody has to experience that) so I cannot comment on how it holds up on that matter. Overall I’m happy with this helmet and would recommend.

I was a little nervous to replace my el cheapo Schwinn helmet I bought from Walmart. There was nothing wrong with it other than being a little heavy and not really stylish. But this Isode is definitely an upgrade in every aspect-lighter, more comfortable, better fit, more stylish. Most importantly it just fits my head perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase.

Gotta love Giro - kudos for delivering an excellent product at an unbeatable price. $50 @ release in 2018, only $29 now on Amazon. WOW. Why anyone would pay 10X more for a top end helmet, I have no idea. All you have to do is look at the scores on consumer reports. The Isode got top marks. While I know no 2 melons are alike, the fit was perfect for me. Took it for a spin last night - was 100 degrees - ventilation was great! Fit & straps very comfortable. A+

The construction is very nice with solid materials for the shell and strap. Price is unbeatable at $29. I am not buying it for myself but I tried it on. My head circumference is 59cm and I have a "round" head (vs a more common "oval" head). The helmet is a bit too tight for me on the sides.

There is essentially no layer to this helmet to protect the foam. I purchased this helmet a little over a month ago and was in a minor wreck and the helmet broke. The outer layer is essentially a thick sticker. If you are looking for a helmet to last a while, this isn't the one for you.

Love Giro helmets and wear them when cycling and skiing. They're the only brand that fits my head perfectly. I ended up returning this helmet for cosmetic reasons. It appeared red in the photo, but in person it's definitely maroon. If it was the right color I would have kept it.

Great helmet. Great price. I've never owned a really expensive helmet so I cant compare in that way, but it was a great replacement for the other ones I lost in a move. You really cant go wrong with GIRO. They're an established brand with a great reputation for quality products. A+ for quality and price.

Helmet is very comfortable and I absolutely love the custom fitment adjustment dial. Considering most Giro helmets are around $200 this is an absolute deal !! I highly recommend this helmet. Size is adjustable so buy with confidence.
