Working with Culture: The Way the Job Gets Done in Public Programs (Public Affairs and Policy Administration Series)

This book is an indispensable examination of leadership best practices for organizational culture. "Culture" is one of the most under-interrogated domains when we speak about the stewardship and management of business environments, especially those that pertain to public policy. Khademian's affordable book lays out the best practices with fair, judicious, incisive commentary. This is an accessible, yet well-reasoned book that would appeal to advanced undergraduate students, graduate students, and lay persons in management and civic affairs.

Good stuff on culture at work, but lots of unnecessary literature review for little benefit. Read Chapter 3,5-6 to get the meat out of this one.

Not bad, but little on insight. Too much leaning toward warm and fuzzy for everyone else but not much on the return.

The book is good for what it was, a text for my Public Admin class. It offers an interesting view on managing organizational culture.
