Good for young saplings
I have young fruit trees that needed some help with opening the center of the tree. These devices were only able to be used on a few branches and the plastic forms actually cut into the bark of some of the branches. I ended up removing them and sealing the wounds on the young fruit trees to prevent insect migration into the wounds. They did not live up to expectations and caused more problems.
