Great book
I completely loved this book. It was fast moving but well written. The characters were great and it was hard to put the book down to anything else done.

Suspenseful, Romantic with lots of Heat
Connor Evans has some decisions to make while he is on leave visiting his father. The two of them often butt heads and he has decided to go relax with a drink. It's at a cozy bar and grill he sees Sloane, but he's still debating whether to approach when she leaves with her companions.Sloane notice the hunk of a man ogling her from the bar, she just wasn't a one night stand kind of girl and her confidence with the opposite sex was nil since her fiancé broke up with her. Leaving was the best course of action.Fate had another idea, and a car accident has him assist them. He manages a date when he drops her at the hospital to check on her friends.A slow, heated build to this relationship as her friends return home. A challenge to do things she's never done before has these two smoldering for more. The sharing of secrets adds to the building trust, and an interesting twist when Sloane's ex shows up. All topped off by Connor getting called up.I loved the slow build romance, the suspense surrounding Sloane's ex's return to work at her firm plus the anger and heat that surrounds Connor and Slone's reunion after his deployment. All this and more had me turning the pages.I really have to go back and read more of Teresa's SEALs. I have five of the seven books in her SEAL Team Heartbreakers, but I don't think I've read them all.

Goodness
Very good story. Mrs Reasor knows how to write and she is an awesome storyteller. What I like about her writting skill is that she takes time to develop her characters, so when you read her stories, it actually flows. And generally it’s because I’m falling dead of sleep that I put one of her books down, otherwise it’s an all-night read. Here it was the same. The characters have depths and dimension. An intense chimistry. And I felt like I’m in the book leaving what’s they are going through with them, not reading about them. She is one of those author that makes me cry and laugh with her personages.I loved Connor. He is at a crossroad in his life. His past is eating him up from the inside, while he is trying to deal with work related decision which will impact in his futur, while also being irresistibly attracted by a beautiful woman, Sloane.Sloane was an excellent counter part for Connor. She is strong and independent. She has her own personal issues. But both actually got stronger together by sharing their fears.I was a bit disappointed with the way it ended. Not because of the event but because i didn’t have any further eyesight in how Connor would deal with this development later on. I felt hungry for a long (very long) epilogue. Or maybe a few more chapters set up a while later in their lives. Ahahaha with Mrs Reasor, more is always better. I would not say no if she was writing again about those two.

Seal the Deal
Another great story by Ms Reazor. Her military romance novels are always stories the reader can understand with characters who relate well with each other. Both Sloane and Connor have been disillusioned with love for different reasons. Then all it took was a chance encounter at a local bar awhile on vacation for Sloane when she caught the eye of Connor Evans sitting at the bar. He was drinking his signature drink a Rusty Nail. He's just returned from deployment with a decision to make--retirement at 20 yrs or go for 30.. His Dad and he are at odds; his wife divorced him; a girlfriend has left him. He has some PTSD and as a Seal the deployments pretty wreck any relationships. Sloane Bianchi just ended a difficult relationship with a cheating fiance. As a female lawyer she's had to deal with discrimination from the law firm that she used. So Sloane and Connor as mature adults have outgrown one-night stands but really find they like each other. Is 9 days vacation enough? If you like a well written and thoughtfully realistic love story then definitely read this. Diamondgirl

Rusty Nail gets an A+ in chemistry.
Rusty Nail gets an A+ in chemistry. Of course, creating amazing relationships in her books is one of Teresa Reasor's greatest strengths as a writer. The build-up of the relationship between these two has me rooting for a future for them from the beginning. While the path of romance may be familiar, they are both strong people whose past has shaped where they are at this moment, but there is nothing trite or ordinary about their story from that first meeting. I loved that she decided that it was his bad luck that he had missed his chance with her at the beginning of the book. And oooh that finale! You have to check it out!

Couldn't put it down
This story flowed well. I couldn't put it down. The background came at opportune times without messing with the current story.

Great read
This author ticks all my boxes for a good story. A strong hero but sensitive too. A strong woman who will support him and have him willingly support her in her moment of need. Not one spelling error. Rare indeed. But best of it flows beautifully from the first paragraph to the last. Looking forward to more of her books
