Royal Brush R9113-3/8 Crafter's Choice White Bristle Dome Stencil Brush, 3/8-Inch

Real good size for dry brushing. With the dome shape I can get into the tight spots to add real depth, even to my miniatures. Works great on wood and plaster pieces.I know it's a stencil brush, and it works well for that too, but dry brushing is what I like the best.

I bought this brush for stenciling. I had tried alot of other brushes and they were a disappointment. I like this brush so much I ordered a second one. It works well and cleans up easily. I have used heavily pigmented oil based paints as well cobalt blue acrylic. The paint washes out easily and the brush has maintained its shape. I use a small amount of dawn dishwashing liquid on the scrubby side of my dish sponge. I use lukewarm to cool water and brush the brush several directions, rinse, more soap on the sponge and brush again until clean. Rinse well. I sort of gather the bristles gently and leave the brush to dry.

My first use of this brush was for dry brushing acrylics. It was well made for achieving good gradient results. I appreciate the plastic handle as there’s no paint chipping falling onto my projects. Of course it is necessary to ruffle the hairs of each natural bristle brush before each use to remove any loose hairs. When dry brushing, this is your best tool

These are my favorite, I only stencil with domed brushes. These are a great value!

I am using this tool as a potter. It was recommended by another potter online and so I thought to give it a try. It is one of those "go to" tools for smoothing out joints with firmness and never cutting into the clay in hard to reach areas like inside a vase or bowl where you attach pieces together. So that's my story !
