I bought this for being out on the water kayaking. The reason I bought this specific hat is because this is the cheapest 100% nylon sunhat I could find on Amazon; plus it looks pretty good. Nylon is the only fabric that dries quick. Is it really nylon and not polyester? The tag says it is, but who ultimately knows aside from a fabricologist. That said, it looks much higher quality than it costs. The brim is straight and unwrinkled with no folds (which some cheap hats have issues with). The fit for me is perfect, but I have a medium-small bead. I suspect someone with a big melon may find it too tight.

Have this hat in pink and gray. Keep one in my hiking pack all the time. Get lots of compliments on them. They wash great! Also, they are adjustable which works out perfectly when the grandkids are around and forget a sun hat

expensive for how cheaply made it is.

It is better than advertised!!!
