These little booties are great. I have a mini poodle who is much smaller than expected. She is more of a toy. I purchased another durable brand first and they were huge in size and height for her. She was unable to do anything but stand on her tippie toes and twist into falling down. These boots are much better for her small frame. They are a little bigger than her feet even though I measured them. As a result she trips every now and then. But we have had them for only a short time and gone on only a handful of walks with her wearing them. Once she adjusts to having them on she walks and runs with no problem. We are working on solving the gripping issue. I make sure I have the boots on tightly around her leg and I double check her toes once they are on so that her toes are not pulled back but close to the front. The tripping has been less to almost no instances since I started that. I think it is just an adjustment that we need to make instead of a complaint. I love the green and the. It’s little tapping nose she makes as she walks in them. I have only used them on incredibly hot days as she burned her paws on hot concrete. I plan to use them more as the weather changes to colder and wetter. My hope is to update this review once I have more experience with them. If you have a smaller dog these are great. If their legs are shorter they still might work for you but I can only remark on my little lady and she has very long legs.

FIRST IMPRESSION Our dog had spinal surgery three months ago and had to relearn to walk. She drags one front paw. I was hoping to avoid ordering the custom made boot with a tether to keep her paw flat, so after watching videos of dogs trying to shake off the boot, I decided to order it, hoping that it would keep her from dragging. It worked! The only problem so far is that I must have tightened the boot on her good leg too tight because after a while she shook it and licked her leg like it was going to sleep. If your dog is normal and you just want a product that will keep the mud and snow from getting in between the paw pads, this should work great.AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF USE Our dog punched her nails through the top of one boot and the front of the other. We purchased these boots for a variety of purposes for our three golden retrievers. We have used them on our 13 year-old who was slipping on ice. They not only gave her traction, you could see a visible increase in her confidence! We found they fit best and stay snug layered on top of socks. Over the course of a day, I pulled the socks up once or twice, but the boots stayed put! Our younger dogs have both had issues with claws cracking and bleeding. In the future, we would use these over bandages to keep the paw clean.

These fit well and really protect my dogs paws on both hot and cold surfaces. I wish they were water proof as the really got wet in the snow and rain
