Great Book
I didn't know much about Suede when I started this book but I certainly do now. Thank you

Truly awful
This book is so badly written, littered with basic grammatical, spelling and factual errors. It's like the author had never heard of Suede and was given 5 hours on the internet to research whatever they could find and 'write' a book about it.If there was an editor involved, they also need to get a P45.Even if I'd got the free kindle version, I would have demanded a refund for the time I'll never get back and compensation for the raising of my blood pressure while trying to get through this 'book.

A perfect way of 'Introducing the Band'
This is a brilliant book, and basically gives you everything you ever wanted to know about Suede in one place. As a bit of a fanatic of the band I might be a bit biased, but I would thoroughly recommend this to new fans and old. It's concise and yet comprehensive, covering their origins up to the initial breakup, Brett's solo career and the Tears (even the man himself is yet to cover this period in his memoirs), and then of course their incredible comeback in 2010 and beyond.I will definitely be looking at buying the rest of the books in this series if they are up to this standard.

Littered with Errors
Thrown together from Wikipedia and Google, save your money and find a second hand copy of David Barnett’s book.

A great read for suede fanatics, and new listeners too!
Another fantastic addition to the Modern Music Masters series. A band that had passed me by a little at the time, I’ve listened to Suedes early stuff more in recent years but hadn’t appreciated their later work until I read this book. I’m always interested to see how the releases compare to what else is in the charts at that time, and that is what is always so unique about this series of books. I look forward to more in the series as they are such a good way to learn a lot about a band over the course of their career.

Another win for the series.
The Modern Music Masters series continues to evolve. With such an important band as Suede, it's good to see equal attention paid to their whole canon (eight studio albums, numerous compilations and b-sides) rather than focus on their early work to the detriment of the new material. The author writes in an informative but relaxed style which makes the work engaging. Roll on the next book in the series.

A classic book for a Super Band!
Absolute Classic for any collector, a great insightful addition to any music lovers shelf.Great Seller, excellent communication and if you love Suede then obviously you’ll love this book, and while they say you shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, it’s a really cool cover so you might just want to show it off.Brilliant series of books, glad to see Suede enter the collection.

very poorly researched
really wished i'd paid attention to all the social media criticism about this book. But as a massive fan since was 15 i want to get my hands on anything and everything to do with this band. sadly I found the criticism to be justified, so much so I had to give up reading about 3/4s the way through and binned it. The spelling mistakes throughout are really jarring, but not as much as the basic errors in getting album titles wrong, individuals names wrong (record label boss Saul Galpern is referred constantly as Galpem) and despite the majority of the content being quotes and lifts straight from the official biography and singer Brett's two memoirs, the author still manages to 'quote' Brett's father 5 years after he died! I've since learned, another book in the series states the magician Paul Daniels apparently sang on Blur's Parklife, this lack of proof reading does appear to be a particular issue with this author. Shame as the concept of the series is a great one. But doesn't offer anything new and wouldn't possibly be able to exist without the aforementioned official books and dare I say it, Wikipedia :(
