Terrific story, fun to read, family stresses at their best!
Kelly, single mom with a son that needs heart surgery, waiting tables trying to make ends meet. Cody, bull rider and a champion, between rodeos, finding himself in her little diner. They meet, a small connection, of sorts, is made and from there on the story unfolds in a series of events that wind up being a great tale of life taking turns and twists and still manages to come out right. So many times I wanted someone to just give Cody a quick kick in the backside, and at the same time give Kelly a few shakes to wake her up too. There are a large array of characters in this story, even while they are there in small doses the author makes them all seem all important at any given time. Excellent way they are included so you feel you know them almost completely. Lots of emotional moments too. Cody with his own world of self doubts as to his real worth, Kelly with her doubts also of her past and willingness to overcome trust issues. Her son Ricky steals the show often, even while not overtaking the story, with his character seeming so real and so tender. I felt good reading this story, clear through to the end. I will read it again and will gladly recommend it to anyone. I know there were a couple sexual encounters but they weren't graphic, certainly not overdone and frankly, can't remember them being startling! The main story being just that good! Thanks to the author for a really enjoyable read. I will definitely want to read more in this series.

Rodeo Cowboy with a Heart of Gold
Now THIS is the Reason I love a good Rodeo Cowboy. I was so excited to see this book hit my kindle at midnight last night. I stayed up reading it and boy was I happy I did. Tired today but Oh what I wonderful tired it is. Let me share a wee bit about this book with you so you will understand why I like this book so much.Cody is a full time rodeo bull and bronc rider and yep champion at that most of the time. With that he catches the ladies eyes and more. One night in Reno he wins big and walks into a diner and happens to meet Kelly, She is waitress who serves him. She also meets her cute son who is there because he didn't have a sitter that night. Ricky is the heart of this story in my opinion as he is what catches Cody's eye and heart. He notices something about Cody and he decides to act in a way that many would think is very un-Cody like. This is the catalyst or the pea that gets under his mattress and never lets him settle again. BUT the same can be said for single mom Kelly as well. But in order for you to know what I am talking about and enjoy this book you will need to read it for yourself. This book is not all sunshine and roses. There where so many times that I wanted to reach thru my book and shake his family with the way there were treating him. But i come from a large family myself and I understand the makeup and how things shake up and out. Sadly what the author has written is usually true to form or it was in my family's case as well. I loved the fact that so many of my favorite fictional towns were visited in this one book,... Sweetheart, Cherry Lake and of course my home town of Marietta. And in case you are wondering yes we get to catch up with a few characters as well. OH MY Do We.I am looking forward to reading more from this family because I have a feeling we will understand more about why they act like they do when we read more of their history. ( Remember their are other books about this family and their orchard as well.)So hope you enjoy it like i did.

Well-written and engaging story
This romance has an interesting plot in that Cody, a bull rider who has just won a large sum of money, gives it away to a waitress he's just met because she's just been fired and has a sick son who needs an operation. The characters are well-developed. Cody especially is interesting because he doesn't want anyone to know about his good deed and gets upset when word gets out about it when the waitress, Kelly, and her son, Ricky, come to thank him in person after Ricky's successful surgery. The relationship that develops between Cody and Kelly is realistic and compelling. Cody's relationship with his family is also engaging and helps to explain why Cody has a poor self-image. This gradually changes due to his relationship with Kelly and Ricky. A very satisfying HEA as well.

Heartwarming Romance
This is the first book that I have read by this author, Joan Kilby, and it won't be my last. I enjoyed this heartwarming romance between Cody and Kelly. Cody is a bull rider who met Kelly, a single Mom, at a restaurant where she was a waitress. When Cody finds out her son needs a heart operation and she gets fired when her boss sees she brought her son to work, he gives her all the money he won as the top bull rider. After her son has the operation and is well enough to travel, Kelly goes to a rodeo where Cody will be entered so she can thank him in person. This leads to the beginning of their romance. This is a feel good story and I highly recommend it.

Bull Riders Return
This was basically a good story except for the intimate scene were too detailed for my taste. Cody and Kelly each had their issues but Cody the most.

Where is Sweatheart??
Since I’m from Montana and our home over looks the Mission Mountains this book kept me intrigued trying to envision where Sweatheart could be. Cherry season is in full swing and our Flathead cherries are the best. Only a visit to MT could be better.

A beautiful, heart-felt romance story
This s my first book by this author, but I assure you it won't be my last! This story just warmed my heart. Cody may have been a real cad in the past, but what he so unselfishly did for Kelly and her son, told me a whole different story about this rough-tough cowboy, than he liked to portrayed himself to be..This is the kind of book that you find very heard to put down. It grabs and pulls you in deeply right from the start ,and won't let go. It's also the kind of story that will stay with you, long after the last page has been turned.

Don't
Actually got a bit annoyed and disappointed by this book. Almost gave it up because Kelly was getting on my nerves. For someone who says she refuses to be a doormat she was exactly that. I found her to be manipulative and it felt like she was setting the ground to get Codi into a relationship by playing emotional games. Out of all 3 books this one is the worst. It's a shame because the first 2 books were great.

Good
I enjoyed this. I haven't read the first two books (I picked this up when it was free) but it didn't matter. I assume it dealt with two of Cody's brothers, but I didn't get confused at all.For those who care about such things, the author doesn't avoid sex scenes, but they are quick and not too graphic. It's a sweet enjoyable romance set in small town America with lots of cowboys. A good pleasant read.
