2021 WiFi Extender

Package arrived quickly as it should with Amazon Prime. The box and packing look generic but the extender was a zip to connect to my home wifi which should do 200+ Mbps but I would only receive 15 mbps around the house.Long story short, I specifically needed higher speed running to my PlayStation 4. So I connected the Oppon Extender to my router signal, moved the extender near my PS4 and used the included Ethernet cable to "hardwire" my PS4 to the extender. I'm now receiving 85+ Mbps from a previous high of only 15mbps! Great work around, great cheap product.

We bought two of these. We just upgraded our router and internet speed and still couldn’t get decent WiFi in our two spots we were looking for. Customer service inserts in the box said they call you back within 36 hours but really prefer emailing. Then Amazon had a chat option above where is Wes going to return them and I saw chat now for troubleshooting. The person advising me took several minutes in between answering me and was telling me to do things that this extender doesn’t have - ie put a paper clip in the recessed are to press a button for 30s. Mine had a button that wasn’t recessed. I told them why do I feel like you’re helping 10 customers at the same time and using the wrong manual. I’m going to return these and go with a name brand I know that a proper support team. My husband and I are used to technology for our professions so we feel confident this is a terrible product. We tried TWO and each one of us tried to set them up as individuals so we wouldn’t affect each other after seeing the first setup failed. Unfortunately, these don’t seem to work for us. Our 400 signal was weakened to an average of 20…and the bedroom is up a set of stairs about 40 ft away in an all open area. I included a pic of how you can see the office where the router is from the door to the room w the dead spot. Should be an easy fix.

I have WPS on my router so setup was very easy. Within a few minutes the new WiFi extender names showed up in my list of netnames in WiFi settings. So I was pleased. Then I tried to logon to the new WiFi extender names. When connecting, I was asked to put in my password. So far so good. I CAREFULLY typed in my Router password, message returned "Password failed". I when to my router settings and verified my password was correct. I tried again with my husband watching every keystroke... NOPE! Password failed again. Tried a couple more times. I tried calling tech support and they did not return my call.So much easier to return this than to keep banging my head against the wall. I will try another company that uses the WPS because that is an easy setup.

Uppoon support reached out and offered a replacement device free of charge. Received the device and got it setup quickly. It has been working wonderfully so far, just like the original one did. Overall, I'm happy with the device and hope it keeps performing after a few months.original review---------Repeater is easy to setup and provides a decent signal. Was pretty happy with it for almost two months and then it just stopped transmitting internet. After a dozen factory resets later I knew there was an issue with the device. Tried WAN and mobile setup --didn't matter. Different outlets --didn't matter. Every configuration was stated as successful yet still no internet. So, I installed our old repeater and it worked no problem. Could easily have just got a bad device, which is fine, but the kicker is that Amazon Support couldn't verify an official support channel for this company. Ended up getting a refund since I can't trust a company without a website presence and trustworthy support channel.

My router does not have WPS button, and I got tech support promptly after short email message to the tech team. The device works well now; setup was in seconds thereafter. I really like this Repeater as well as appreciate the tech team's prompt support. It's worthy to invest.Last but not least! Wifi signal signal strength in my house is noticeably improvement; in fact, a smart TV used to be flakily work - and sometimes no signals - but it is now consistently, stably working; no more bad signals to it.

This item worked decently for two years and recently just stopped working. Tried all the troubleshooting but it just won't connect anymore. When it did work, it was ok. But not a long lasting product.
