ShamBo Foam Roller, EVA with Grid Design Muscle Rollers for Deep Tissue Myofascial Release, Foam Massage Roller (green)

I had been having a lot of muscle pain in my leg, my hamstring in particular and was introduced to rollers by one of the coaches at a boot camp I was going to. I was looking for a good one to get that was not too expensive and then I came across this one and was asked to review it, so I was totally game. It comes with a mesh carrying bag so you can easily take it to the gym or yoga class with you. The roller is not too heavy and not too light. You get the inside smooth roller and then the outer one that has the grooves on it. The outer one is more firm and of course larger since the smaller one fits inside. The smaller one is smooth and sturdy. The one thing I thought would have been a plus is maybe for it to come with a small pamphlet with some examples on how to use it. I was taught how to use it to ease muscle pain and work the muscle out but it can also be used for more than that and Yoga. I found a few exercises online that you can do with it. My 2 year old likes to use the smaller one and do exercises with me on the floor. This product is very well made and I very much enjoy using it for muscle relief and exercises. I was thrilled to receive this product at a discount in exchange for an honest review. If you are anything like me, you have a very hard time adequately reaching and subsequently stretching various muscles in your body. This roller has made a substantial impact on my life in the few hours I have had it, and I simply cannot wait to see how it works over time! The roller is light-weight (perfect for traveling to the gym and to work), and has two different types of rollers that fit one into the other. There are two types of edges on the green roller- a wider and narrower version, which make it perfect to work on leg muscles. I do like the green color, though I wish I had seen the pink before I purchased (oh well!). The larger, green roller is just wide enough for my back- I am petite, so it may not be long enough for others. This would be especially useful to those who work out at home due to the compact size. All in all, I am beyond thrilled with this product and would highly recommend it to others!

Just received the roller a few days ago. I bought it for my husband who says it is helping him with his tight lower leg muscles which he suffers greatly from. The roller was smaller than expected but that is on the buyer for not looking into the size dimensions. Overall seemingly great product. The only thing is that the website for the lifetime guarantee does not work. I e-mailed the company but no response yet and it's already been several days.

1. How Does It Look?I really like the unique design of this foam roller. It comes with a mini black foam roller on the inside of the green roller. The travel bag is really cool and very handy. The green color is very cool and overall I find that the manufacturer did a great job at marketing this product. "1.00 STARS!"2. Does It Work Effectively?The green roller is actually surprisingly effective. I own plenty of low end and high end foam rollers so I expect a lot when buying a foam roller. This foam roller did a pretty good job at getting the kinks out of my back, which is what I usually buy these foam rollers for as opposed to using it on other parts of my body such as my legs, arms or neck, which I sometimes use the foam rollers for, but not that much. I would say that the one consistent problem I ran into was when I foam rolled my back with the green roller that my body would sink into the right or left instead of staying straight and I had to constantly readjust myself. It only happens sometimes with the green roller. As for the black roller, I'm not a fan. Unfortunately, It just doesn't work for the back and I think it is meant for small muscles like the forearms or perhaps the balls of your feet because the weight of your body causes the foam roller to dig into the ground too much and prevents you from smoothly using the foam roller. I also suggest keeping the black roller inside of the green roller to keep the green roller secure in the middle and to keep it from breaking from the weight. The black roller just adds that extra sense of reassurance as opposed to using it without the black foam roller in the middle of it. "0.50 STARS!"3. How Quick Does It Work + How Easy Is It To Use?It really doesn't take long to foam roll the body, but if this is your first roller, there is going to be some pain that you will have to work through. The travel bag makes storage nice and simple, especially being able to put the black foam roller on the inside of the green roller, since that's all the black foam roller is really good for. As mentioned above the movements can be unsmooth at certain times while using the green and the black one is practically unusable for me. "0.50 STARS!"4. How Does It Feel?The green roller is actually one of the softest foam rollers I have ever used, yet still provides effective results for being considered a "firm" roller. The black roller is pretty soft if you can find use out of it. Again, I suggest that you place the black roller inside of the green roller when using the green roller to prevent any part of the green roller breaking on you, although I find that it is pretty solid. "0.75 STARS!"5. Is It Worth The Price?I think that the green roller is worth it with its travel bag, but I wouldn't pay much at all for the black roller. I think the price should be lowered to $24.99 or just improve on the black roller to make it more valuable. "0.75 STARS!"6. Should You Buy This?I think that if you want an all-in-one set then this might be for you. However, it would be perfect if the black roller was more effective at its purpose.7.
