Q: how do you select your color?

3 colors in the pack. Navy, grey and black.

Q: Chest size 40 in. i am confused with the size chart because they displayed only xl-36 inches. will xl fit?

Depends on the fit you want. I wanted a loose flowing fit and I ordered large (I am size 6 with 34 bust) and it fits exactly how I wanted without looking big. Fabric is very stretchy if need be. Hope this helps
