I love this burger press, and made great stuffed burgers on the first try.
I can't imagine why anyone would give this product anything less than 5 stars. I got it today, and just had to try it out to make stuffed burgers. One thing that is not obvious and not described in the instructions is that the tool for making the indentation in the burger for stuffing is inside the part that flattens the burger. You have to turn the bottom part of the burger flattening tool to remove the tool for making the stuffing indent. That being said, I will relate my first experience with this press, and let you know what I will do differently the next time.I started with 1 pound of ground round bison, and added 1 egg, 1/4 cup of seasoned bread crumbs, 1 Tbsp. olive oil to add fat, and 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce. This was all well mixed by hand to incorporate all ingredients. Then I used 1/4 measuring cup to take out 3 portions for the burger top. I put a sheet of wax paper on the cutting board and flattened each piece to about 1/4" and put them on the wax paper. The remaining burger mix was split into 3 equal portions. For each of these portions, I pressed them to about 1/2" then used the tool to make an indentation, filled the indention. I used dice onion, sliced canned mushrooms, crumbled Blue cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese, but you can use any filling you choose. Then I put the previously pressed top pieces on top, and flattened and sealed it with the press tool. If any of the burger squished out the side, I smoothed it back into the seal with my fingers. As you can see from the pictures, the finished burger looked pretty good. The next time I make these burgers, I will not press as hard on the indent tool so that the bottom of the indent is a little thicker., I will also make the top piece to cover the filling a little thicker. When I cooked them, two of the tops broke when I turned them. So a little thicker might have worked better. The problem may also have been that I cooked them on a rack that the burger pressed into. This may not have happened if I cooked them in a pan or a solid grill. At any rate, they tasted great.Other suggestions I can offer is to use the supplied wax paper disc on the top and bottom for pressing and making the indentation. Otherwise, the burger will stick.to the press pieces. Also, the burger sticks less if the meat is cool, but keeping it cool through the whole process can be difficult. I might also mention that getting the burgers out of the forms is so easy because the bottom of the press is easily pushed up and out of the form. The diameter of the burgers made with this press is 4" and fits any standard burger bun.You can adjust the weight of the burger by the amount of hamburger you put in the press. The diameter of the burger will still be 4", but the thickness will be more or less depending on the amount of burger you use for each. I have not yet used the slider burger tool, but the same principles would apply.Personally, I would recommend this burger press, and I believe it is very user friendly, but that might depend on the experience of the user.

Easily make great stuffed burgers
My wife and I just purchased this burger press and wanted to give a try right away. We made cheddar stuffed burgers that turned out great. The only unfortunate thing was the ebook that should be on the website doesn't work.Edit: After contacting their customer service about the website issue they very quickly resolved the issue and sent me the ebook. Very impressed with their timely customer service.

Makes Life Easy!
This was a neat little product. At first I got a little stressed because the one piece of paper in the box only explained how to make regular sized or stuffed burgers and I wanted to make sliders. Then I visited the link to the recipe book and that also failed to explain how to make a slider. A couple of reviews explained how to take the outer ring off the top part of the press, so I took that off and just got to it using the small plate and ring and pressing with the press. Too my delight, it worked wonderfully. At the end of the day the concept and design are super simple. The key is to not overthink it. We made cute little sliders quickly and efficiently. I'm considering buying a second one so I can have a little assembly line. I ended up forgetting all about the papers and simply sprayed the plates with a little oil when we were halfway finished. We didn't really have any problems with sticking and probably could have survived without it. I used 85/15 beef that had some egg and seasoning in it. Not sure if that's why sticking wasn't an issue. We generally gathered a handful of meat, rolled it into a compact ball, stuck it in the ring and pressed. We didn't use exact amounts, but generally tried to use more than needed and let the press squeeze the extra out the side. A quick swipe around the ring, push the metal plate up and voila! Perfectly shaped patties.

Real Burgers, Neat and Easy!
We've had a variety of patty presses over the years, from a plywood ring fashioned by a relative, to Tupper-type containers with a built-in press, and of course we've pressed many burgers between our palms. While all of these methods worked after a fashion, they also shared a common failing: it wasn't possible to compress the meat sufficiently to create a patty which would hold together well on the grill and on the bun, nor were the patties consistent (and consistency is the secret of predictable cooking). They were also messy to clean up.The Deluxe Stuffed Burger Press solves all of these problems for us. The sturdy design makes it possible to apply a great deal of pressure; the ring-and-plate construction makes it easy to produce consistent patties, and the same feature makes it very easy to clean up.We've used this only for standard burgers; the stuffed burger feature sounds interesting but it's not necessary to use the device in that way, and it's the best I've seen outside a commercial kitchen (and better than some of those) for making excellent burgers.

Heck Yeah!
After struggling with a home-made burger stuffer using a gallon jar lid and plastic wrap for over a year, I began to research making a new one. I drew up some plans, searched hobby stores for the materials, researched hardware stores for the tools I'd need to buy and realized that I'd have a couple hundred bucks wrapped up into this thing and there was no guarantee that it was even going to work. Plan B was to come here to Amazon and buy this one, already made, tested, and came with a recipe book. All this and for only ten bucks! Sign me up right now! It took two days to get here and I already had two pounds of ground beef thawed out ready to go when it arrived. Only thing that prevented me from using it the second it arrived was I needed to go back to the store and buy some fresh mushrooms to use in the "Blue Cheese and Wild Mushroom" burgers. I'm sure it will be fantastic! I always use "pretzel buns" with stuffed burgers too. They are more durable. Thanks!

Non-stickiness
This product works fine, material is good and light weight. Easy to clean and patty size is reasonable. However, non-stick layer does not work so well, still sticky, even put some oil or water before press.Sometimes, non-stickiness causes the minced meat to stick to the walls which means, you cannot get the patty out in proper shape but uneven patty.

Simple and effective patty maker
Just used the Patty Buddy for the first time. Really simple to use and the burgers look great. Comes with a 45 page instruction booklet online with how to use and recipes. Easy to clean made of hard plastic. Able to make stuffed burgers but will try that next time. So far no problem. Only put 4 stars for sturdiness as I think you could break the handle if you are ham fisted like me in the future. No need to apply lots of pressure. Good luck

No more uneven burger!
Love it, well made, easy to use, easy to clean (dishwasher), easy to store (small). I can't say if it will last long since I just got it, but I imagine it will. And the burger paper is a nice addition for the price. Will recommend to friends and families. Didn't use the small one (to make mini burger or stuff burger), but I imagine it will be as easy.
