OMG, OMG A MUST HAVE!!!!
Finally, I've had to read 100's of books to fine this one. It is an amazing read. I love romance books, but I like them to be a little more realistic. I want a REAL Viking and NOT a bad boy lusting for his "high school" crush. I like a very strong male dominate role, even with a little violence, because that is what Vikings are known for, violence, pilage, berserker, no mercy, take no prisoners and even rape. Most Viking romance books are pretty much all the same, to good to be real, with no "emotional problems" Viking man, meets the most prefect looking women, whom is stronger and more strong willed then most Viking warrior's. Ya, like that would really be the case, if you where to go back in time. This book is realistic for what I would previce to what the viking time to be like. The right amount of brut strengh, sex, male dominates, female streght and misunderstands to make the most perfect viking story, with ofcoare some twists. The hero/ Selik is a real hard Viking, that you love to hate and is not perect (fisically and mentally marked by many battles and his past family loss) and is not considered by most to be handsome. Rain is "large/ tall" form most peoples prospective. Lets just say that she is no drop dead beauty, like most "normal" women. Most times I dont do time travel books, because they are more like G.I. Jane of the WEALS goes back in time to kick some pansy vikings ass, again....right. If that were the case, G.I. Jane would be coming back in a body bage. I was pleasantly surprised that my favorit book would be of time travel and NO G.I. Jane, but a medical Dr.There is just not enough GREAT/ WONDERFUL things that I can say about this book. It is the first book that I felt emotionally drawn into it; Like I REALLY could feel, (and it is how I would feel) in Rain's situation. Hell, who am I kinding, I would LOVE to be in Rains position. This is the first book that I wrote a review on. It is an absolute WONDERFUL BOOK. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sandra Hill and my husband thanks you too :). I if there are others out there that feel like I do; I would really love feed back on other books similar to The Outlaw Viking. Having a hard time finding "REAL" Viking books, but still in the romance line. Have read other Sandra Hill book and like OK, but have yet to fine "the one" to rival The viking Outlaw.Give yourself pelenty of time to read, because it is hard to put down.

Freak of the Century
You're sent back to another century finding you're out of options what do you do. Fit in and make the best of it but don't let your heart get to deep into the situation. Remembering that love don't love nobody but itself unless you can crack that mold. Love the entire set up I think of the adventure that went on. Love it ! No dislike

The outlaw Viking
I agree with having a outward laugh when reading a novel. I found myself snickering through these chapter's that were endearing. Packed with romantic overture and funny moments. Yes, there were the usual drama which carried the reader thru to the complete storyline. But, it fixated you to the pages and didn't release the reader until completion. Worthy read for Sandra Hill and suggested this novel to any one who enjoys humorous spunky woman characters.

The Outlaw Viking with 21st Century Feelings
This book was an interesting sequel to "the Reluctent Viking". I couldn't put it down. I do think Rain could have been more understanding of the time period she was in and not try and do everything her way (21st century woman style). The story was well written and gave alot of history for that time period. You felt the pain and the joy of the characters. I love all of Sandra's books.

A mixed bag
Pros:Selik, the sexy, tormented heroGreat historical backdrop with well-researched detailsEmotionally poignant with a focus on Selik's forgiveness and redemptionGood side character development (Uddi, Adam, Blanche)Cons:Slow-moving, predictable "Fix the emotionally damaged hero" plotRain, the heroine whines and acts immature the entire time. The hero calls her "shrewish" it struck me as true. She's really annoying.Love scenes were hot but they were few and far betweenToo many repetitive "I Love You's" by Rain - over the top. While this book was a page turner, I enjoyed it much less than Hill's The Blue Viking.

Selik's character was was wonderful and heart breaking
The story of Selik and Rain really touch my heart. Selik's character was was wonderful and heart breaking. I really felt for him. I was very happy that Selik and Rain found each other. Just love the way Sandra put her romance together with sadness and humor.

Quite good
I wasn't sure if i wanted to read this book but i read a sample and it seemed good so i gave it a go which i am happy about. If you want to read about virile Norsemen then this book is for you. The romance is also sweet but it does have its hurdles.

Give it a try!
To start, I'll be honest and say I wasn't sure about this book. I don't generally read this genre! I'm glad to say it was worth it. The book was an easy read, with some well defined characters, and a simple to follow plot. If you're not looking for something too challenging, just a quick and enjoyable read, give it a go!
