CAUGHT FIRE!
Hooked up by a professional, I was also wondering n UVAC for 15 years. Can verify.THING CAUGHT ON FIRE and the fire department had to come. I’m sure it was just a faulty power supply but still. Yikes.

So far, so good!
I bought this as a replacement for a ballast I didn't know was bad. I kept burning out bulbs and had given up until my A/C tech wanted to know where the U/V light I used to have was. Told him what was going on and he checked the output of the X-former and said it was no good. The new one has been going strong....so far!I'll update it to 5 stars if it lasts more than 6 months!

Failed after approx 1+months use. Caused other component damage. Would like my money refunded.
Failed after minimal use . Product failure caused $177 damage to other components.Requesting refund

Buy a different brand
I've purchased this item twice. The first one lasted 1.75 years and failed. I ordered the exact item again and it kept immediately blowing the 3 amp inline fuse between the ballast and the transformer - the light never turned on. I'm glad the fuse was there as I suspect it could have damaged something or even been a fire hazard. The ballast in my other air handler is a different brand and was installed in 2016 and still working fine - going to buy that one instead.
