This adapter is exactly what I needed. My HDMI port on my tv stopped working, just kept saying "no signal". I plugged this into the red-yellow-white ports on the back of my tv and plugged my fire stick into it and I have picture again. The quality looks the same to me - saved me from buying a new tv

We were planning to go on a long trip in our 2010 Chevrolet Suburban. It has a DVD player in it, but in this day and age, who wants to use a DVD. So we looked into something that we could use to screen mirror our devices (iPhone iPad and MacBook) to the DVD player monitor. So we bought this thing, hardly expecting it to work. BUT IT WORKS!!! However, you do have to purchase a Lightning to Digital AV adapter. (link for that is right here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009WHV3BM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) But for less than $100 you can mirror your Ipad, iPhone, or MacBook screen to your DVD player monitor. It also works pretty well! The quality of the video won't be quite as good because the monitor is so old. But it also transfers the sound to your vehicle. You will, however, hear a slight buzzing noise due to engine noise. But you don't notice it as long as something is playing. Overall it works pretty well and I would definitely recommend it for long trips!

My TV provider changed, and went to Fire Stick on my Fiber Optics to the House, but fire sticks require an HDMI input on your TV. I had one older TV that didn't have HDMI imput... BUT did have RCA jacks, so I bought this, instead of spending $$$ for a new TV. The fire stick plugged into the unit, and the unit plugged into the RCA jacks on my TV, and WALLAH, it worked just fine.

Was able to add my Apple TV module to my old TV in the garage that only had rca inputs. Inexpensive-but does the job!

I bought this to connect my new roku box to a very old TV set. It worked out well. I was able to hook everything up easily and I don’t have any problems. Keep in mind you need to plug this in. Luckily we have a power strip that now has our tv, roku, and this converter.

This is great. I can finally connect my chromecast to my older tv! Easy to install too.

I have an old tv. I had it hooked up to a DVD player with apps. The DVD player died. I could not find a DVD player in the price range that was reasonable. I had cable installed in the living room. When the installer came he said it would not work with the older tv. My son came out with a mini-tv. And I am not kidding. I went back to amazon searching for an adapter. I found this one. I think what made the difference was it was powered. I hooked it up today and miracle of miracles, it worked. The way Xfinity works it uses wifi to connect the second tv. which means an HDMI adapter which this set did not have. It connects through RCA ports. This TV was given to me and it was hardly used. I think it would work with a firestick, Roko, all the stuff you have to pay extra for. I recommend it.

* Easy to hook-up to my old Sony 13" flat tube WEGA TV that still has an excellent picture!* This adapter somehow reformats a HDMI 16:9 signal to fit my TV's 4:3 tube. It's a little elongated, but still looks good. No black bars. There maybe more adjustments you can do but I lost the remote control! My fault. Still it looks good right out of the box.* I'm using an Apple TV 4K streaming box.* I also have a TIVO Mini hooked-up to my TV and I don't have to change the TV settings (brightness/contrast, etc.) when switching between the two boxes.* This adapter matches up perfectly with the TIVO Mini's video output.* Overall, it's a good cheap buy if you have an old tube TV and want to hook-up a HDMI signal to it.

Ease of use, came with 12V adapter which was useful. Picture quality has been good but using it on a 2003 plasma TV so performance might be different on newer set.
