Choke plate is held onto the shaft with four divets that are supposed to lock the plate onto the shaft so it won't move around...after sending two of these back for the same complaint, choke plate stuck, a friend of mine pulled on the plate a little and the choke plate closed. Apparently they are not setting the divert high enough to capture the plate...here's what I did, Set the carb horizontally on a table so that the plate is horizontal, take a little blue "lock tight" liquid and squeeze it so that it flows under the shaft in to the plate. I suppose super glue could work too, but lock tight gives you more time to adjust it and to make sure the choke plate will close properly. Let it dry and you are good to go..

This item is a fire hazard. It leaks gasoline at the gasket between the body and bowl after being in use for only three years. Apparently the gasket material selected was not resistant to gasoline as it has swollen to the point it no longer seals. So, if you want to either replace the carburetor every three years or make your own gasket, go ahead and order this item. However, I recommend you keep looking.

I received the carb in decent time . Two days after I received the carb ,I attempted to put carb on motor and when I went to hook up the choke lever the back part of it where the choke rod attaches was broke off . Since they was supposed to be identical carb I took the old one out of old carb and replaced the broken new choke with it . It worked . Replaced carb , but motor still running bad . Don't know if it's the carb or not , but I tried to interchange parts like new carb top with old bowl , but it seemed better in some ways but it didn't fix the problem . I tried a few more mix and match changes but they also didn't fix problem . In some cases made it worse. I can't really blame carb for that as I don't know for sure that the carb is the problem or it's a multitude of problems . But the choke shaft was definitely broke out of the box ! Probably wouldn't buy again ! .But other than that it looked just like the original !

I would like to say a thank you for the carb I ordered for my lawnmower. It arrived quickly , and i installed it yesterday April 10. My mower runs better than ,when it was new. The brand was Qazaky. Ive looked for a carb everywhere, till I found it on Amazon. Downtown prices were over $50.00, Thanks again Amazon, the very best. Alan Pyles Spokane, Wa.

the float pin comes loose and floods carb,then gas gestates in the engine. This carb carb could cost you a new engine.

Put together backwards but was able to correct

The pin keepers that hold the float hinge in-place softened and no longer the hold the pin, so it does not control the flow of fuel into the bowl.

Have to give this Carb 5 stars. Identical to the original in looks. Bolted it on and my old Tecumseh 17.5 HP ran the best it had in years. It idles well and runs at mowing rpms well. No idea as to longevity, but I'm mighty pleased right now.

Good product and did the trick.

Gas leaks through the carb (past the needle) and floods the engine base with gas, diluting the oil resulting in damage to the engine!
