Q: How well does this hold up in the washer and dryer? I want to use it with making face masks.

I would guess not great. Color does fade overtime so I would imagine that fading would speed up by being washed and dried.

Q: Can this be used for rock wrapping?g

Possibly. This cord is thicker than I would imagine is normally used for rock wrapping.

Q: Would this be long enough to wrap around an 8"drram catcher hoop?

These cords are about 5 yards per each bundle , you can check if it is enough for your use .
