Works well for the most part but the little wings used to adjust water angle did break on me (only treason for four star rather than five rating). Rest of product seems very well built. Great Customer Service - They responded quickly with a replacement. Would absolutely buy again.

I bought the earlier (2020) version of this sprinkler in May of 2020. Performance was excellent, and I would have said very good-to-excellent quality. That was until a few weeks ago when the yellow plastic tabs controlling the lateral spray snapped off when I was trying to adjust the spray pattern. Here in Florida long-term exposure to cold weather was not a factor, although the sprinkler was out in the sun a lot. Is two years and four months of life adequate for a product like this? I thought not, and contacted the company (Melnor), following their warranty procedure. Within hours I had a response from Customer Service and a promise to send me (entirely at their expense) a replacement unit. That new (redesigned) unit arrived today, three days after I contacted them. Hopefully this unit will last longer — plastic obviously does not last forever, but perhaps the new design also uses a more robust plastic.

This is a metal version of very high quality. It's working great. Worth the extra cost over plastic ones, in my opinion.

I have had this sprinkler for a little over a year, and this has an amazing amount of features. The ability to direct the flow of the water by width and angle has been very useful. The metal base is heavy, sturdy, and holds up well which is what I was looking for after several broken plastic sprinklers in the past. However, plastic parts are also the downfall to this product. After being out in the sun, the plastic has been degraded by UV rays to the point that it’s become brittle and breaks easily. The adjuster handles have broken off and now the rubber spray nozzles appear to be cracking. If you get this sprinkler (which I still would recommend) make sure to NOT leave it outside. After using it put it up as fast as you can. I hope I can get a replacement from the manufacturer because I honestly do like this product. I hope in the future they can make more parts metal so they do not break, because this thing is awesome.

The distance covered front to back is about 40 feet. My water pressure is average by my judgment, having lived in many locations in my 60+ years. Up until now, I had been using a 25 year old Nelson impact/pulsating sprinkler to water all areas of my lawn. This area presented a problem, since the pulsating sprinkler is only capable of narrowing to an arc of about 20°, due to the clip needing room to travel - - lest the sprinkler freeze in one position. This oscillating sprinkler is able to water a slightly narrower area, maybe 5 feet. It also has the advantage of watering this area evenly, and more gently.This works for ME. Providing you are not expecting it to shoot water out over 50 feet each direction, it will likely serve you too.
