I didn’t like the images
It’s a nice Islamic book but I found the images a bit bizarre and the faces and I people had huge heads and features that weren’t very pleasant

Beautiful cultural illustrations, possible shirk on one page
Beautiful illustrations, shows diversity and beauty of/in Islam, many shapes to see and enjoy, brings a sense of joy and pride for little ones in their muslimness, if you will. Love itI do want to warn Muslims about a page with possible shirk, where it says the moon whispers salaam. We played some masking tape over that and replaced it by saying “WE say salaam” instead of the moon, which we think is a decent enough revision for reading to our preschooler. Also there are drums mentioned in this book for families that avoid music, we don’t edit out or around this personally because we understand that this is a cultural book, and also the drums here represent the shape circle for the “book of shapes” so take from that what you will.If you are looking through reviews for pictures of each page (like I do) there are many many read alongs of this book and the colors one on YouTube that show and read each page if you want to see if this book is right for your family or if you prefer that over reading a physical book.Side note: prime does not ship with DO NOT BEND packaging so we were surprised with our paperback version bent through the spine to be stuffed in our mailbox. Being as tough as it is to fold a book through the spine, I think even with a hardcover edition we would have found it in half there so be ware of that also. Thanks for reading.
