Bits Could be One Time Use
The jig is great... (I forgot to check the "Nuts".. make sure they are tight before starting your cut. Suction held the in place very well. As to the bit... I used it on a ceramic bathroom tile - I kept the cutting edges cool and lubricated.. but they really only lasted for the one tile. In this case I didn't see it is a drawback... Because all I really needed was the one hole! And for the price.. to me it was well worth it. And, I still have 8 bits left... of course the holes I need will have to be handled by one of the remaing bits. I'm not sorry I purchased this item!!!

I'll never forget what I had to go through in order to creates some holes in marble.
Since I didn't have any diamond hole saws, I instead took some masonry bits and drilled out a circle. What a laborious procedure that was. This package comes with a lot of different size hole cutters from ranging from 6mm to 50mm. For some applications that require you to not drill out a pilot hole very deep, the included guide jig comes to the rescue. You can adjust it to the size bit you are using, and it provides steel bearings on all four corners to guarantee that you will get a clean cut. It is held onto the tile for example by a rubberized suction cup with a clamping lever. As with all bits that are trying to penetrate rock hard metal heat becomes a concern, and these bits are no different. Cooling with water is not only helpful but necessary to prolong the life of the bit.A few of the nuts holding in the bearings were barely applied, but that is no biggee. Just hand tighten them down. Also, the nut for holding the plunge lever screw was loose in the box. Simply attach it. Once again, no problem. This is the kind of kit that you don't need to use it often, but when you do it's worth it weight. Highly recommended.

This set actually works well
We have been drilling a bunch of various size holes in thick porcelain tile during our farmhouse renovation. The trick to using these diamond hole saws is to keep your field wet during drilling to keep the hole saw and your substrate cool and to avoid excessive pressure. As long as you don't overheat these, they will last for many holes. Overheat them severely just once, however, and you will be buying a new one.I thought the drill guide was a gimmick initially, but once I got the hang of it, it really does prevent the hole saw from skating around. A better way to do that is to use a portable drill press or drill guide, but the included accessory will do in a pinch.

Great for bathroom or kitchen remodels
If you have to cut holes in tile or granite then these are great. We have been remodeling our basement a little every few years and did our bathroom without any hole saws and it was a real pain chipping away bits of tile to get it to fit around pipes. These allow a much smoother and nicer finished hole and require a lot less work. You should use these wet to avoid damaging the bit or cracking the tiles just like you would do with a tile saw. I really like that it comes with the guide as that helps you get more precise and accurate cuts and the bits all seem to be of decent quality. We tested these out on some scrap tiles first and it worked great. I'm looking forward to how much easier our laundry room remodel will be when we start tiling in there.

These hole saws work, but create so much heat that constant cooling is required
These are competent hole saws, but they are slow to use because they require constant and extensive cooling. Otherwise the "diamond" flakes simply fall off and one is left with zero cutting capability. I took off one star because I have used other similar hold saws that cut more effectively and required less cooling. The drill bits are very good, however, and the guidance fixture is quite unique and helpful. I used the saws on slate and tile with success. They even worked on Stucco which is notoriously difficult to cut into.Just be prepared to drill slowly and if you can, use your hose to keep things cool.

Decent kit but shipped thrown together
I ordered this kit to help cut things for ring blanks. It works ok, not the best kit I’ve used.My big complaint is that the bit shank is smooth. It’s not a hex for your press or drill to grab onto. So it can spin free if it gets hung up. So go slow and use water/oil.It’s decent, but for the price I would not buy these again and instead look for a set with a different shank. They also ship just thrown together in a bag. All of the bits are just rubbing on each other during shipping etc. not a huge deal but other kits come with the bits separated in foam.
