The product description states that it's made from treated timber and should last for years. Not so much...I bought this chicken house in early Dec 2022 and put it in my chicken run, which is partly-covered (the chicken house is positioned under a roofed section of the run, but is still open to the weather on two sides). We then had a period of typically damp British winter weather. During that time, the timber planks that made up the roof section warped to such a degree that water ingress travelled to the inside of the roof panel. In other words the house leaks like a sieve.This happened after just 10 days from it being new.The damp areas have since developed mildew (mold). Whatever "treatment" was supposedly given to the timber, it can't possibly be damp or mold resistance. The house is in no way weatherproof. I'd even go as far to say it probably shouldn't be used outside (probably fine if kept in a barn). It's not as if I'd kept the house directly in the garden, exposed on all sides during a hurricane. It was under partial cover, but still got a bit of rain blown at it from the sides and dripped on from above - and that's all it took to effectively ruin the roof in just 10 days.The design of the house is decent enough. If you decide to purchase this product for outside use, I would advise applying weather treatment to the whole thing yourself, prior to assembly, and possibly also attaching weatherproof roofing felt to the roof panels.

The house is NOT for outside, we read some reviews and saw that it needed some upkeep before being ready to go such as needing a coat of primer and paint. We did that as well as caulking it, the wood before doing all of this is very thin and bendable. After only 1-2 months it started falling apart. The roof came off the hinges and won’t stay closed, and the locks on the doors are bad and won’t keep out predators. We have had to duck tape the roof closed and all the doors for the time being until we can make or buy something better. The duck tape keeps it put together WAY better than the things given to us to assemble it with. Do not waste your money, I would not buy this again and am very unhappy with this purchase for outside use.

This little house is great for my ducks. I only use it to cage them at night when its cold. It's held up well thus far. My only complaint was that it appeared to be used and returned. Probably because the instructions were a little hard to follow but it works great for the reason purchased.

I bought this house for two running ducks. While it looks nice, I don't think I would buy it again; I would build a second one.Pros:- Cheap- Easy to put together; took me, alone, less than two hours.- optically wise, looks niceCons- very cheaply made; wood is really thin- no ventilation windows. Yes it has the three doors, but no ventilation for at night- would not use in winter without a heat lamp. Since the wood is so thin, the house cannot be insulated.A piece of advice: don't tighted down the M6 bolts until you are finished building it. This will greatly aid you in ensuring everthing fits correctly.Overall, this house is ok. In my opinion, it is only suitable to spring, summer, and early autumn. I would only recommend this house, if you need something in a hurry or you cannot build something yourself.

Très satisfaite de ce poulailler, le bois est d'une très belle qualité, solide, le bac à litière est très facile à ouvrir et replacer. Et les portes sont faciles à ouvrir. Bref je suis super satisfaite de ce poulailler, je voulais le construire moi même mais le prix de celui ci m'a fait changé d'avis, car entre le bois et la visserie et le temps de montage etc... qualité prix de celui ci au top !Par contre : passé 3 couches de lasures bois pour prolonger la durée de vie du bois même s'il est traité.Merci à vous aussi pour l'envoie si rapide !
