Great product, millions of uses.
This stuff is brilliant, I have been using it for over 30 years. Use it to bind up or seal pretty much anything. Its tough and hardwearing and used properly it forms a permanent seal. For best results gently stretch and release it a few times before applying as this puts heat into the rubber and aids the curing process. I used to work with the bloke that invented this stuff. It was invented during ww2 and still new uses are being found for it.Be a bit careful when applying it as it is a bit fragile in its raw state and it is easy to pull apart but rest assured that once it has cured it can only be cut off as it bonds to itself permanently. just remember to exercise it before applying and leave in a warm place to cure to produce the optimum result. The easiest way to remove it from its backing tape is to use a sharp blade and cut through the backing tape then fold it over your finger to ease the grip on the backing tape. and once you finish leave a little tag to make further use easier to start. Dont just pinch it to open up the backing tape as it will just stick to itself

Works really well
I use this for binding wiring looms on a classic car, it has the advantage of an excellent seal where the tape overlaps and the lack of glue means it will not go off over time. There's a knack to applying it as you need to stretch it as it is wound on I found in tight situations you are best to cut a length of the roll, do not apply directly from the roll as with normal insulation tape. I do wonder with some of the reviews on here if people have failed to remove the plastic interleaf when applying if you don't obviously it doesn't stick! Remember it only sticks to itself so getting a bit of tension in the material is important to get a good seal.

Fixman? FIXALL!!
I first knew this stuff when I worked for PO telephones, and it was great to have in the tool box. I am glad to have it back, thank goodness. This stuff repairs all sorts of things. I tried it out again to repair the charger lead for my tablet where the outer casing on the wire had started to split. Cut of a 3 to 4 inch piece of rubber, stretch a little, then tightly wrap the plug stretching and spiralling down to finish on the wire, the rubber then amalgamates and becomes a solid, fixed sleeve. Just one of many repairs this stuff is capable of. Thanks again. BK

Very good tape
Nothing to dislike about this tape yet. I am yet to know if it is permanently water proof. The backing tape is a little fiddly to get off, but that need happen once if you leave a little behind after cutting. It adheres to itself very well so that you need to cut the tape to get it off. Bear in mind that it will ?a few days for this. Obviously far more water proof than insulating tape. It stretches well but needs 2 hands of course.
