These were hard to write on with an ordinary pen or even a sharp pointed object. However I do have an old engraver that I used and they turned out beautifully! I am very pleased and just placed a 2nd order so I can finish up marking and have extra tags to spare. Price is right and they should last for years to come.

A little harder to emboss than I expected. But much more resilient than the thin foil over cardboard type I bought before.

The Good:1. Good price2. Very durable metalThe Bad1. Too hard to scribe into metal vs. other softer metal choices. I usually just use a marker on these and hope it does not wash off with rain.2. The wires are rusting. not the plates, just the wires but it looks weird. Another softer metal plate choice sold on amazon has also wires that are older and have not rusted yet even though purchased & used long ago.

I had a hard time choosing these tags because of the poor reviews. But I needed labels so I gave them a shot. Glad I did! I also bought a $12 engraver to use on these but it turned out that it's easy to imprint with a standard ballpoint pen. So much for trusting people's reviews lol. These work great with a pen or engraver and they are solid metal, unlike some of the more expensive ones that have a cardboard core. Now my cactus collection have the permanent labels they deserve.

Most ink on plastic labels will be erased by the UV light (sunlight) and temperature. These tags will keep what is written, since what you write is engraved in aluminum.

I am looking for an easy and reusable plant marker for our greenhouse, and thought this would be ideal. Unfortunately, embossing or imprinting is difficult, time consuming, and renders the labels non-reusable. The stake wire is flimsy and does not hold up.

These are cheap for a reason. Very difficult to make an imprint. You are supposed to write with a ball point pen, but you really need an engraver! These are just simply a sheet of metal. I normally by the kind that have a thin layer of cardboard inside, which gives a little cushion making the imprint easy. I bought these by mistake. wont do that again!
