A handyman and I spent seven hours installing seven of these lights in my ceiling, with him crawling around in my attic cutting holes and running wires. They look great. Easy to pair up with the remotes and the app. One Jbox started to smoke when I applied power, so I switched it out with the spare. The seller immediately sent me a replacement.The lights come with a limited manual, and the online help in the app is sparse. That said, the seller quickly responded to my configuration questions.My only disappointment was the remote. While it has four buttons [A, B, C, D], you can only program one group to button A. I have two groupings. Fortunately I bought two sets of four lights, so I programed one group to each remote.All in all, well worth the money.

UPDATE 1-16-22: After having the lights installed for a few weeks one of the lights quit working, it would not turn on, it wouldn’t connect, doing the light reset would do nothing (also very annoying since it resets all the other working lights). The only thing they would do was flicker for a second once the switch was turned on either warm white or green. Contacted the seller and they sent replacement lights which was great almost debated updated my review then to 4 stars. But then another light went out before the replacement showed up, so at that point I had two lights out. The replacements showed up and I swapped them out and everything worked again…. Until yesterday, then two more went out at the same time, one of the originals and one of the replacements. Same exact problem just stuck off with no ability to reset them, swapping to another location with different power box does nothing still behave the same. So now I am done with these lights, I will start my return and just choose a regular slim led light and buy a dimmer switch or something. Very disappointing because I was very excited with how these worked being able to select color, warmth, brightness and connect to google. Kind of sad about it to be honest. For anyone that already has these or chooses to get these despite my experience I will say the times these lights failed were when power was cut from them at the switch, so if you are ok relying on the remote and google I would advise either hardwiring these in without a manual switch or doing something at the switch to prevent accidental switching, my girlfriend was stubborn with the smart home stuff and was still using the switch to turn them on and off.Original review: The install went pretty good, mapped out my 4 holes, drilled them using 6 3/8 recessed light drywall hole saw, (could have used regular 6 in hole saw backwards since hole was a hair big but did not have one and this was cheaper, it ended up being fine the lip still covered it). Wiring was easy, removed single box for double and added switch into wall, not using the switch much since I like to control with my google home but it is nice to have it still. The lights are bright and diffuse nicely, they can really change a room. The app paired ok, and the controls are nice, warm light to cool light as well as all the color options. The dimming works as expected. Honestly everything was deserving of 5 stars... until my girlfriend pointed out the buzzing noise coming from them. After playing with them it was quickly obvious these have the dreaded LED dimmer buzz, especially bad at full dim, which is very disappointing since the driver and light combo all come from the same seller. You would think during development this would have been figured out but it is clear they are likely a chinese made copy of another light and the LED and driver pairing was not tested with these and suffer from this buzzing. Obviously I am stuck with them now, I am sure I will find a way to get over it whether that means not dimming them or using color mode more often? (doesnt buzz in color). I am not sure if I would buy again, that is why I gave it 3 stars. I have plans to do more rooms and I may just do the standard non-smart lights instead or may even go back with these and deal with the buzzing, not sure how much of a deal breaker it is yet.

Really easy set up, the third party app was a little difficult but other than that, it works fine

Update: deleting the lights from the app and installing all of them from scratch worked. Increased rating to 4 stars. Instructions for app installation are outdated. I figured it all out in the app except for the remote firmware update. It won't update no matter how many times I try. They are great lights once they work.TIP: Test lights one by one with Alexa before you bother making groups and such. You may have to delete and reinstall lights in the app to get it all working.First 2 lights set up worked great. The app easily recognized them, and so did Alexa. We could control lights in both. Every light thereafter, Alexa recognized it, but couldn't control it. I deleted them from Alexa and reloaded them... still won't work. I am going to delete all of the lights and the hub from the smart life app and try to load all of them at the same time, then Alexa. If they don't work, they will be returned. If they don't work as advertised, they are worthless. I am very frustrated.Side note: while every light we set up works, the packaging is a joke. No protection, flimsy cardboard arrives crushed and interior "support" pieces smashed, broken, and our of place....pointless.

These were easy to install and program. We love the way it makes the deck look with all the lighting options and colors. Would definitely recommend this product!
