Sean Connery 007 Collection Volume 2 Ultimate Edition

I originally bought the 6 disc version of volume 1 on sale at Target during black friday. So naturally I assumed there was a volume 2 and a few days later I went back to Target for it and bought volume 2. To my disappointment, when I got it home and opened it, it only had 3 discs which were just the movies. So I searched online and found through here that there was a 6 disc version. However, I was extremely disappointed in the price for it. I bought vol. 1 for only $10 and that was 6 discs. But after searching everywhere online the price was pretty much the same. So I opted to buy it from Amazon. It has 6 discs. 3 movies and each come with a special features disc. I love this set as it is just the Sean Connery James Bond Movies. I never cared for anyone else as James Bond. No one can do Bond like Sean Connery. There is another Bond set but that one mixes the movies so you get a collection that does mixes all of the Bond guys instead of just giving you all of the movies from each guy. One thing I am disappointed about is the fact that this collection is of the rareity now. They aren't making this collection anymore. Apparently they made it for a couple months then took it off the market. They didn't even give the collection a chance for fans to hear about and buy. I never knew it existed until I saw it at Target. And I had been looking for a collection like this with just the Sean Connery movies. Well needless to say, I love this collection. It has everyyhing I wanted and more. This is the best collection for the ultimate Sean Connery James Bond fan. Don't miss your opportunity to buy this collection before it disappears for good!

My husband has been wanting to get the Volume 2 for sometime now. As soon as this order arrived, he did not waste any time to watch it. He is very happy and satisfied with my purchase.

Volume 2 contains: Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, and Diamonds are Forever. Thunderball is often considered the peak of the series although the fact that half the movie is underwater makes the film sort of disorienting. You Only Live Twice is the 1st full appearnace of Blofeld. It's good but the part where James Bond "becomes Japanese" is bizarre to say the least. After that, Sean Connery took a break from the series and George Lazenby starred in the spectacular (and overlooked) "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". You will have to buy that one separately and you undoubtedly should. George Lazenby was offered a 7 picture but decided instead to commit career suicide and declined the offer. This brought Sean Connery back in "Diamonds are Forever." This is definitely the worst of the Sean Connery Bond films but is still worth watching. The plot is confusing and the 1970s aesthetic of big sideburns, floral patterns, ruffled suits and muscle cars doesn't hold a candle to the mid-60s sophistication and style; it is jarring. This collection is worth picking up but it is inferior to the volume 1. Pick up volume 1 first. If you like what you see, buy this one too. As for the Roger Moore films, only purchase "Live and Let Die," "Spy Who loved Me" and "For Your Eyes Only".

Only has the 3 movies and no extras yet it calls this the Ultimate Edition (unless it has double sided discs, which is doesn't). No extras listed on case. Says 3 Disc Set on the case spine. I don't understand why this cost me $2.00 more than volume 1 which has 6 discs and is only called Sean Connery 007 Collection Vol 1 but IS an Ultimate collection. I think the studio got lazy.I have not watched these movies but other of 2012 release 007 movies are remastered and gorgeous even though not Blu-ray.

Outstanding quality and these are indeed the originals in terms of the Bond franchise. What a pleasure to watch these fun and excellently scripted movies again and again. Compared with movies made after Roger Moore left the "Bond family" these are ultimately without comparison. The quality of story lines, acting and overall movie experience went completely downhill post Connery and Moore. The latest collection of fiasco's with Daniel Craig is in this viewers opinion beyond the pale awful. Here are in delightful high quality DVD's movies to enjoy as well as to recall a time when innovation in story line and movie making was quality without digital assistance and tricks. 100%!!

There have been many collections of James Bond films that put the films out of order (by the film's release date) or purposefully mix-up the collection to vary different Bond actors. As it was never my intention to own every James Bond movie, I appreciate this collection for keeping the films in order of their releases as well as by featuring a single lead actor. The restored image and sound quality are outstanding. Each film has its own bonus disc packed with worthwhile extras. What I really appreciate is the compact size of this collection. There are six discs contained in a standard size DVD case. It's really impressive how they do that. Ultimately, it's three double-disc sets taking the space of one! I hope they continue making these sets for the other films in this series, with the other lead actors in the film franchise.

It's an iconic series of movies and one I'll always treasure. Proud to have it as part of my forever library!

This set consists of 3 discs contained in one sturdy Clear Jewel Case. The Discs are well secured and do not not come into contact with eachother inside the case. if your a fan of Sean Connery and the era of film production, you cant go wrong with buying this Vol. #2 DVD audio video quality is well done, too bad they didn't have High Definition filming capability and Dolby Atmos sound back then...still great to have for your 007 collection

I am enjoying the 007 movies.To me there is only one 007 and that is Sean Connery. Delivery was done very will and right on time as promised. The price was very good and I'll be getting buying more movies from Amazon.ca. All in all everything went will.
