It looks like a peace of piss pine from a pallet that was colored gray. It is cheaply make , as you can see by the staple nails in the corners. I can not help and wonder how long this frame will last. Not sure if it is real glass or not I did not see it in the description. Looks to me that you can only use the first picture you place in it. The small metal holders are flimsy and seems it will only work on the first closing of the back of the frame. Would be better to have a saw tooth hanger. Buyer be ware.

I bought this for myself to hang a super cute, canvas painting that a friend of mine painted for me. I wanted real wood and rustic. Boy is this rustic. As you can see, the edges of the frame have chunks of what looks like stuff they use to add the white, rustic look to the wood. It’s jagged and rough. It almost looks like it’s been brushed with some sort of the caulking material. I would have to take a razor blade to cut it off. I decided to put the painting inside of it and see how it looked. Luckily, because of the colors that are in the painting, it doesn’t show much, when I hung it up. I would probably not order from this company again. Unfortunately though....because I really wanted to love it. The white, crusty material is on the inside portion of the frame also. This is against the glass and the painting blends in with it. It only shows a bit. I’m really not pleased but, it was difficult to find a frame that was real wood and thick enough to accommodate the canvas painting.

This is NOT reclaimed wood, nor Barnwood! This is cheap trim wood from a hardware store that is stained just in the front to look like barnwood. It is thin, flimsy, and they didn’t even stain the inside of the frame!! You can see the fresh unstained wood inside the viewing area. Not happy. For 27$ this was a horrible buy. Very misleading advertising. Will be sending back. What a waste. This was supposed to hold my wife’s Bday present and now I won’t have a frame to put it in on her bday.

I purchased the 8-1/2 × 11 weathered gray frame. On opening the box, I was very happy with what I saw. It was exactly what I was looking for to frame a St. Patrick's Day graphic I made for my adult son's birthday.Out of the box, ouch! Rough cut edges poked my fingers with little splinters. I had to smooth them down -- the edges -- for his sake and mine!I wasn't finished. The back of the frame wasn't stained, just raw, very light colored wood that didn't go with the front at all. Same thing for the inside edges that frame the graphic.After putting it together with the graphic and taking it apart a couple times, I decided I just couldn't send it as is. Really bothered me. I went to a hardware store and bought some stain and rags to finish the back. I was nervous about spills in the inside edges, so I didn't touch them. They were close in color to the ivory paper I used for the graphic anyway, so that worked out.It wasn't ideal, but it looked 100% better in the back, which was important in case my son wanted it on a desk where the back would be exposed to view.It's irritating that I had to think of that and not the manufacturer. That i had to spend an additional $11 for supplies, whatever it cost for gas, and about an extra hour and a half of my time to go the store, consult with their staff and find a compatible color compounds the frustration. The actual staining took about 15.minutes, including set up.I went through all this because I had to ship the gift the next day at the latest. No time to return and try to find a suitable replacement. Stores would be a crap shoot and waste even more time.BOTTOM LINE: It's not suitable as a gift, unless you are prepared to do some work to make it presentable. If you want to hang it on a wall for your own use, it would be fine Just watch out for splinters.TO THE MANUFACTURER: The product is degraded by lack of follow through. A little sanding, a little stain and a little time and effort would greatly improve it and minimize complaints.

These are the best frame products available. I've purchased several sizes and styles and have been very impressed with every one of them. Every frame manufacturer should adopt Barnwood's appriach to providing accurate and easy to understand frame sizing and dimension descriptions. Easily my favorite place to buy frames for any project.

I expected and wanted a rustic look. What I didn't want was a cheaply made frame that is splintering, with some stain slapped on haphazardly at best - the inside edge got no stain revealing the cheap pine wood, and looks terrible. If I wasn't in a time crunch, I would definitely send it back. This is not reclaimed barn wood, nor is it close to any kind of craftsmanship. I have mine out in the garage now where I took it to stain it properly. Would never buy again.

The 6x6 frames were the perfect fit for the matted prints we purchased on vacation. The reason for the 4 stars for overall was because I ordered 4 frames and they arrived with 2 frames being a brown wood color and 2 of gray wood color. You would think the person putting my order together would realize the frames should all be the same color, however, its barnwood and there is no perfection. I decided to keep them instead of trying to get them all the same color. The larger frame (6”x12”) in my pictures also came from Barnwood USA in a different order. I bought 2 of these and they were very similar in color. Both sets of frames were odd sizes, so I was happy to be able to find them, especially in the barnwood. I did take the back panel off all the frames as all prints were matted with thick picture board as a backing. I hammered sawtooth hangers on the back, praying the frames would not fall apart and they tolerated the hammering process. It worked out great and we love all 6 prints in their barnwood frames.

Absolutely perfect ! Exactly what I was looking for !
