You can't go wrong with Roudybush!
First off, let's review the important stuffs:- I have a baby male galah (rose-breasted cockatoo) who's about 170g.- This was transition from seed to pellets food after bringing him home from the breeder.- This is fed in conjunction with nutri-berries and pellet-berries.- This is the food that is available to him 24/7.- Unlike some birds, my buddy will take to ANYTHING (he's a baby, he loves everything)Pros:- The size is right. I had intended to share this with my bf's caique, so I bought the small instead of medium. The caique snubbed it, but the size still works great for my galah.- It smells great! You wouldn't THINK that matters, but just spend every day huffing kibble every time you feed your dog. *vom*- Dried fruits! Nice little edition (but shocking when you walk out and see BLOOD ALL OVER HIS BEAK AUGH oh wait... it's dried fruit... I feel sheepish.)Cons:- The lovely dried fruit was in huge clumps. Undoubtedly because this food sat in a hot warehouse for god knows how long.I'll definitely be purchasing again (even if I have to break up fruit clumps). It's a great filler to his fresh foods diet.UPDATE: I'm on my third ordered bag of this and GUESS WHAT. Oh, pshaw, you'll never guess. NO MORE CLUMPS! Looks like the formula (and bag!) have been redesigned a bit to take advantage of those great fruit and veggie bits with ZERO clumping. I've upped my rating from 4 to 5 stars! This stuff is tops!

Quakers like it
At first my quakers would only eat the pellets. It took a little bit but they have started to eat the dried fruits and veggies. I choose this over the regular roudybush that I usually use for my other birds due to quakers needing a higher fruit intake. This has brought a better balance to their diet. I have noticed that with roubybush products all of my birds’ feathers are more full and colorful.

My little green cheek conures LOVE IT!
The local bird store closed and the owners retired. I, of course, didn't find this out until it was time to get more bird food, that I could only get there. I was suddenly unable to get my regular bird food for my two green cheeks. I went to the regular pet store and got the best I could get there, which they hated, and ordered this. I didn't notice that this is a mix, with dried fruits; I was kind of desperate since they didn't like the new food and they were giving me grief about it.They've had Roudybush since they came to live with me (when they were 6mo old) and I supplement with fruits and veggies, so I wasn't against giving them a mix. When I gave it to them for the first time, they were so excited! They like having their food back, and have really enjoyed finding the dried fruits. Now, every meal time there's happy chattering, instead of grouching! I feel like I have my happy little birds back!

This is a Great Healthy Pellet for Your Parrot
Good Quality Pellet! Your Parrot should be on a diet consisting of 60-80% PELLETS and just 20-40% seed and Tree Nuts, Supplemented regularly by Fresh Veggies, Grains & Cooked Legumes. The RoudyBush California Blend is Perfect for everyone in our rescue from Conures to Cockatoo's. Even my tiny LoveBird enjoys a few pieces in her daily mix. Although I always feel it's pretty pricey and sadly that causes the average parrot owner to feed lower grade foods.
