JUST WHAT I NEEDED

One of the jugs was missing the blue rubber base.

I purchased this to use for heating milk in the microwave to make yogurt, it only needs to get to 82c so not very hot.When it arrived I noticed that this is not ChefAid as advertised but Contain. The label on the front of the jug gives a website address for Dayes and on looking it appears they own ChefAid but there is no mention of Contain, and I cannot find a similar jug on their site, so I suspect this is a falsely advertised product.The jug came with a strange half lid thing, not detailed on the product photo or listing information, I’m uncertain of the purpose for this as it doesn’t really act as a lid due to the large hole in the middle nor does it fit snugly to the jug so cannot be a device to prevent contents from boiling over etc and there is no explanation as to it’s use with the product. There was also a measuring cup that fits in to the hole in the middle of the ‘lid’, again not in the listing photos or details.The quality of the jug is not great, there is a rough sharp area on the inside base from where it has been poorly cast/pressed. The supposedly non-slip base ring is just hard moulded plastic, similar to the jug body but grey rather than translucent, so not at all non-slip.There is a category 5 plastic symbol moulded into the base so it should be polypropylene and therefore microwave safe. I needed the jug so decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and used it after washing thoroughly in soapy water. Whilst microwaving there was a strong burnt plastic smell coming from it, the jug itself did not deform or become too flexible, so I suspect it is polypropylene, but I’m not sure why it was emitting a plastic smell, possibly the other plastic on the base? The temp of the liquid only went to 82c and there was no residual smell in the liquid after heating.As I needed to use it I won’t be returning for a refund but had circumstances been different I would have done.I would not recommend this to anyone as the jug does not appear to be manufactured by the brand they are advertising it as and the quality is poor.

I PURHASED THIS AS A REPLACEMENT FOR A TUPPERWARE ONE THAT I'D HAD FOR DECADES, THIS ONE IS GREAT NICE SIZE, WIDE TOP FOR LOADING YOUR INGREDIANTS AND EASY TO CLEAN. SO FAR CAN'T FAULT IT.

I use it daily fits in microwave perfect.

Not as good as Tupperware. Lid is difficult to relocate, not as sturdy as I anticipated. All in all, I will not consider pucrhasing again. Typical Amazon Rubbish yet again!
